Restart: A Pearlmethyst (Pearl × Amethyst) Oneshot

About an hour later, the warp pad activated.

"Oh great!" Amethyst exclaimed, and hit the pause button. She and Peridot waited in anticipation for a voice.

"And- hey! Where did my cookies go? Oh, I think I should go get a snack, Pearl. I'm pretty hungry after that," they heard Steven say.

"It's them!" Amethyst whispered.

"So the 'cookies' were a 'snack'? Hmm... Oh, and Pearl's there too!" Peridot whispered back.

"I know!"

"Okay, Steven," Pearl said, still unsure of how humans could withstand the revolting process of eating.

"Good luck defeating the mobs! Just leave my character in the base while I go," Amethyst quietly told Peridot.

"Affirmative. And 'good luck'." Amethyst nodded and ran downstairs.

"Hey guys! Steven, here's your cookies," Amethyst said.

"Oh, thanks!" Steven smiled, and looked in the jar. "Oh come on! Only 3 cookies left." Amethyst gave a guilty grin.

"Oops."

"It's okay, I still have another jar," he said cheerfully, walking to a shelf.

"Okay. Hi Pearl! Where'd you guys go?" Amethyst said.

"Oh... um, nowhere special- the cherry blossom tree! We were practicing summoning weapons... yes," Pearl laughed nervously. "Well, where's everyone else? Garnet still isn't back?"

"Nope," Amethyst said. "And Peridot's playing Minecraft upstairs."

"Oh. That," Pearl commented. "The sword techniques are highly unrealistic! I mean, you can't just swing it down and mindlessly hit anything with it!"

"Aw, come on, P, it can be pretty fun," Amethyst told her.

"Oh well," Pearl said.

"Anyway, do you want to go to the cherry blossom tree again?"

"Why?" The lithe gem asked, "So I can demonstrate how sword fighting in real life is much more different than Minecraft?" They laughed.

"No, I just wanted to tell you something," Amethyst said. Pearl looked confused.

"Well, okay. Sure," She agreed. They stepped on the warp pad, and left.
