"How was Shakespeare in the Park?" I asked as the three men entered the quinjet.
Tony glanced at me. "You heard that?" He then glanced at Nat. "Of course you did."
Nat just smirked and pulled the quinjet into the sky. I sat down next to the new man. He kept eyeing Loki, but when I walked over, he turned his gaze to me.
"Hey," I said, sitting next to him. "I'm Calypso. But you can call my Caly if you want."
He nodded. "Thor." He went quiet.
I cleared my throat. "So, you come from Asgard?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Where is that exactly?"
He looked down at me with his blue eyes. "You ask a lot of questions, Miss Calypso."
I frowned. "Is that a problem?"
He gave me the tiniest of smiles. "No."
Thor explained Asgard to me, describing it and its people. He told me about how he protected Earth, and how he had come here before. He told me about Jane Foster, and I said that I would like to meet her someday. He smiled at that.
I then told him about the orphanage and explained to him how I had gotten here. He frowned when he heard about the beatings, but I told him that they were in the past and we couldn't do anything about it. I described Leah to him and told him how she would have loved all of this. I told him how she was like a little sister to me and how I would protect her from the beatings by doing something worse so that Headmistress would forget about her. He told me that I was brave, and I blushed. I decided to change the topic.
"What's your hammer?" I asked, running a finger over the markings on the metal. He twirled it in his hand.
"It is called Mjölnir. It shall only be wielded by those who are worthy," he told me.
"Worthy?" I asked, confused.
"Of its great power," Thor explained. I opened my mouth to ask another question, but Steve cut me off.
"Hey, Caly. We're here." I looked around. Everyone had already left except for Steve, Thor, and me. We had been too caught up in our conversation to notice that the quinjet had landed.
"Oh," I said, and Steve helped me to my feet. He nodded at Thor.
"Follow me. I'll take you to Fury and let him catch you up."
I followed them out and wandered around until I found Bruce in his lab. I opened the door, knocking on the glass.
"Hey, Bruce," I said.
He looked up, glasses slipping down his nose. "How was it?" he asked, setting down his lab equipment.
"I don't really know," I answered, swinging up onto a table and dangling my legs over the edge.
"I didn't do much. But we got Loki and picked up his brother, Thor."
"I've heard of Thor. God of thunder."
I nodded.
A loud stamping outside caught our attention. We turned to see a bunch of guards marching through the hall, Loki in the middle of them. As he passed, he turned and looked at Bruce with a smirk.
I decided to taunt him. Lifting my hand, I wiggled my fingers at him and grinned, catching his attention. He scowled before he was whisked out of sight. Bruce placed his glasses on the table and rubbed his eyes.
