The Lullaby

Chapter 7

After signing the paperwork, Jane was released." Where am I gonna go" Jane asked herself. Her eyes began to water. Jane curled her fist in anger. She whipped around to Jeff, who was watching her the whole time.

"This is all your fault Jeff" she yelled." I wouldn't be here if you didn't want me to join you, if you didn't plot to kill me in the first place." She said in tears. Jane began walking away when Jeff grabbed her arm." You don't want to do this" he said.

Jane looked at Jeff's hand then she looked him in the eyes." Get your hand off of me" she said sternly. Jeff smiled. But he never did let her arm go. Jane reached for her pocket, Jeff quickly ripped his knife out." Don't even try it, you know you're no match for me" Jeff said.

Jane gasped." That's it, I'm gonna find the person that knows all of your weaknesses, then I am going to kill you myself" Jane said. Jane walked off to look for the one person that she knew Jeff hated." Slenderman has know something about him" Jane said quietly to herself.

Jane was so confused, she had no idea where to start the search for Slenderman. Since she was now homeless, Jane wandered the streets." Maybe it will be more relaxing at the park" she said to herself. So she took her time and walked to the park.

Jane walked a little ways into the park, when she found a soft spot in the grass without an anthill. She began to close her eyes when she heard a little girl. Jane couldn't tell if she was laughing or crying.

When she sat up, there was a little girl in white dress with head in her hands sobbing. Jane slowly stood up and looked around." Are you okay little girl"Jane asked. But there was no answer." Where are your parents" Jane asked. There was still no answer.

Jane walked up to the girl and asked one more time if she was okay. But the girl kept sobbing. Jane lightly lowered her hand onto the girls shoulder.

The little girl's neck began to make a horrible cracking noise. Then slowly the girl's head turned around until it was facing Jane. The girl had no eyes. Jane gasped and stumbled backward. The little girl opened her mouth and let out a scream that sounded more like a siren. Jane screamed. She became very dizzy. As she passed out, the last thing she saw was Slenderman bending down over her.
