I stand beside a occupied bed, staring at the occupier without saying a word and balancing on one foot, while the occupier snorts and turns to the side. I just can't stand someone snorting right beside of me. I won't sleep tonight. I look around to get to know the place. There is a large fountain with a fish sculpture made of grey rock, smelling like salt water. And a lot of pirate coins on the bottom, known as Drachmas around here. The boy turns again to the other side, with his pillow all wet. Yuck. I decide to walk towards my bed and just lay there, waiting for the first sign of morning.

After what feels like at least 6 hours, I sigh with relief as the golden sun shines through my window, as if the sun were to say "Be happy! It's a nice day." My roommate groans "Turn it down Apollo!" He yells, putting his head under his pillows, snoring loudly. I roll my eyes and walk out, as swift as a cat, and walk out, only to walk into Maddie. She looked surprised, as she smiles "Hi Eric." I nod in her direction. What is it that keeps making us run into each other? Last night, I ran into her near the campfire, now I run into her in the morning. If I wanted to get rid of her, it would be impossible, right? I just give her a smile. "Want to head to breakfast with me? I don't have anyone to follow." I notice her cheeks turning red. "Erm. Sure.. Let's go." She turns and leads me towards the mess hall.

I follow her pace and we sit together in Zeus' table. 'Eric, you should be sitting in Poseidon's table.' Yes, I know, but then I would be alone. Maybe not... I notice the guy who was snorting all night, blue eyes like mine, short hair, face of someone who doesn't talk too much and likes blue things... he sits and takes a toast, passing Nutella on it and taking a bite. He is distracted with a girl from Athena's table. And she is staring back. I look repeatedly to the two and turn myself back to Maddie. I'm feeling energy inside her. Well, that's good, because a certain someone didn't let me sleep. That's why I wish that Maddie was my roommate. I take a pancake plate and start to eat, not caring to check which flavor is this. Right now, only my willpower and sugar can keep me awake.

She looks over at me and raises an eyebrow, watching me shove pancakes into my mouth. I stop eating slowly. "May I help you?" I ask, putting my fork down, running a hand through my hair. She chuckles "Did you sleep last night?" She asks me, making me shake my head, remembering my roommates snore, which echoes in my mind, making me shiver. She sighs "You seem jumpy today. Why don't you go to my cabin and sleep there?" She says, making my face bright up. Me? Sleeping in her room? If I could jump around, I would. I smile and put a hand on her shoulder, and stand up, pulling her in my arms and hug her tight as if she was a ragdoll, smiling "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaim like a five year old as she nods. "Sure, but can you put me down?" She asks with a polite tone in her voice, as I nod, letting her go, and heading towards her cabin.

It's just amazing inside Zeus' cabin. You can see your own reflex on the floor. It's very clean and polished, making the floor quite slippery. I give short steps, just to not slip and fell. I don't want to cause a scene. There are three beds, one completely tidied up, another completely messed up, with some cds and black metal posters on it, and another one that looks like it's new. Maddie has a roommate too. I hope him or her don't snore like the guy in Poseidon's cabin. "Well, you can stay here." She sits on the bed that I'm supposed to lie down. I nod and take my shoes off, lying beside her and looking up at her face. "Thanks." I say. She's been so nice to me... sometimes I think that I don't deserve it. Moments later I find myself stuck in one of these strange dreams involving fictional figures.
