I watch as Eric sleeps peacefully on my cloud-like bed. I would've allowed him to sleep on Grace's but she would've killed me. Literally. After seeing what she's like, when it comes to training, she's violent. You annoy her, and boom. She goes after you, which scares me, and gives most people nightmares at night. My thoughts were drowned out by a door opening and shutting, making me jump startled and look up at whoever just walked in. Only to see the one and only Grace. She raises an eyebrow at me, then at the sleeping Eric, who is dreaming of a romance scene, since he's cuddling my pillow. "What's he doing here?" She scowls and rolls her eyes, diving onto her bed, putting her headphones on and listening to music which sounds like nails on a chalkboard, making me cringe. "Actually, he didn't sleep all night last night, and I decided to help him. Is that okay with you? You're not my mother." I snap, making her clench her fists, but she stops herself, and sighs, taking a deep breath. "Whatever." Is all she says to me, storming off, mumbling words that I would never say to anyone. Scary!
I roll my eyes, and stand up, walking over to her wall, seeing pictures of her making funny faces, and actually looking happy for once. "What happened to her?" I ask to myself, furrowing my eyebrows. I look over at the other pictures, seeing her with cake on her face, making me chuckle softly, then at a group photo, of her and a tall brunette. "Who are these people?" I ask myself again and sigh. I look around and sit down at a desk, placing my head into my hands.

And so, today was that very day: October 31. Halloween at Camp Half-Blood and all the world. The camp had been completely redesigned for the occasion: pumpkins lying next to corners, real and fake skeletons, ghosts and witches... and the lack of lighting made it feel even spookier. Some candles here and there, and of course, the campfire shining in a deep orange. The campers are either dressed as fairies, witches, warriors, skeletons or monsters. I turn myself around and notice Eric leaving his cabin, dressed like those video-game ninjas. His roommate follows him, closing the door. Suddenly he turns around, pointing his sword at him, as if he did something wrong. I narrow my eyes and try to read the movement of his lips. Something like: "If you snore again, the Lin-Kuei will have your head." Guys and their video-games... He spins his sword and sheathes it, continuing his pace and putting his mask on. I wave my hand to make him notice me in this darkness. "Hi, erm... ninja."
He grins widely at me, and slips his arm around my waist for a few seconds, making my sun burn and tingle. I step away from him, looking down at my Tris costume and sigh "I'm going back to my cabin. This sucks." I say, exasperated. I feel his gaze on the back of my head, making me shiver. He grabs my hand, making me blush, as he turns me around, his force strong "What are you doing?" I ask him, sighing.
"Don't go. You look great!" His voice comes out a bit muffled because of his mask.
I smile slightly, and pull the mask down "What did you say?" I ask, raising an eyebrow, running a hand down my dress, which Tris wore on the choosing ceremony, and look back up, waiting for his answer.
"You look great. Don't go." His mouth is pratically covered by sweat. I blush and try to muffle a sigh when he wraps his arms around my waist, not believing in that. I look down at his hands and raise an eyebrow. "Eric... Now what are you doing?" I whisper, seeing how close our faces were. His lips looked oh so soft and he smelled amazing, blocking out the smell of his sweat.
"I... I need to say something." I can feel his heart beating at 100 bpm. I rest my hands on his shoulders, preparing for his big confession, or not...
I smile, as he opens his mouth to say something, as Grace pushes through and clears her throat. I jump, started and jump away from him "Am I interrupting something?" She asks, a smirk on her face. "No." I say a little too defensively, making her smirk wider. I hear Eric clear his throat and take me into his arms, and and look down at me, leaning down. I expect to feel his lips on mine, but only to get a kiss on the cheek, as he simply backs away and walks off.
