(This chapter introduces two new characters.)
Brian ran down the hallway where the emergency exit was only to find out that it was boarded up. The walkers are closing in blocking off any means of escape. Bam! Bam Bam! He started shooting but there was too many so he ran into a janitors closet for cover. He looks arounds for anything he can squeeze through to get out of the building but there was nothing.
Thump!Thump!Thump! The sound of walkers smashing their gnarly fists against the door. Running out of ideas, he quickly shot a lock on locker and emptied it out. Crack! An arm broke through the door and wildly swung around feeling for its food. Brian quickly stepped in the locker and closed it. Crack!Crack!Bam! The horde of walkers broke through the door and was greeted with nothing. From the locker, Brian could hear the wheezing and moaning from the walkers. He opens a small crack and looked out one walker was a man in a suit. There was bite marks on his arm and chunks bitten out of his side. There was a woman in a flower dress. She had a bite mark on her neck and legs. And her lips are torn off exposing her teeth. There more in the room but it was hard to see the small crack.
(Jason and Taylor.)
They are almost back at the camp site, maybe less then a mile.
"You think Brian and Tyler made it back yet?" Taylor asked.
"I hope they are cuz it's gettin dark."
As they running they heard a woman scream: "Help Me!!"
They both looked at each other and ran towards the scream. When they got there it was a woman and her child. She was killing a walker while the other went after the boy. Jason ran over to the boy but it was too late. The walker grabbed him and bit a chunk out of his shoulder. The boy screamed out for his mother. Jason took the butt of the shotgun he found at the pawn shop and bashed the walker on the side of the head.
(The woman was wearing an pink Abercrombie shirt stained with blood from the walker. She had long brown hair and with green eyes.)
Taylor stabs the other walker in the head with a knife and the mother ran over to her child. Blood is soaking his shirt and Jason can tell that he is scared.
"David! David! it's okay mommy's here." She cries holding the boy in here arms.
Tears form around her eyes and slowly falls Taylor walks over and kneels down next to her.
"I'm sorry for your lost. But when a person gets bitten, they turn. Eventually your son will turn into one of the walkers."
Jason pulls out his sidearm and hands it to the woman.
"You know what you gotta do."
She takes the gun out of Jason's hand and point the barrel to the dead child's head. There was a short moment of silence.
"I can't do it! I just.. I just can't!"
She stands up and gives the gun to Jason. She goes over to Taylor for comfort as Jason aims the gun at the boys head. Bam! The sound of the gun echoes throughout the hills.
"Come on, lets get you back to camp. It's dangerous being out here after that gun shot."
They made it back to camp with no trouble.
"Woah woah woah! who the hells is this! We can't-"
"Chill Michael!" Jason yells.
"She just lost her son and has nowhere else to go and we can't just her out there." Taylor told him.
When Miller saw them return he ran over to them.
"Jason come here... There's something I have to tell you."
