Before I start this chapter, I just want to thank all of you who have kept reading this book.
I know it's no master piece and I basically gave up on it for a while, but honestly knowing that people actually show an interest in it means quite a bit to me.
Also, I'M SORRY FOR BEING SUCH A SUCKY WRITER.
I often lack inspiration.. c'x
But yeah, enjoy. ‹3

Bursting into the next classroom, the group of teenagers were breathless with blotchy faces which had tears running down them. Brooke, which was in front of everyone, tripped over her feet and fell on the floor with a loud thump. Everyone came inside, stumbling over Brooke and each other and falling into a heap of bodies. Their muscles clenched, fingers and legs trembling as what they had just experienced burned holes into their memories, and their hearts.

Their tears began staining each others clothing as they each wimpered softly, too caught up in their own individual minds to notice which room they had just walked in (or fell in.)

They all slowly  began separating and crawling away from each other, each sitting with their backs against the door and wall, looking forward with lost eyes.

Sarah started laughing quietly, running her fingers through her hair roughly and dropping her head on her knees as her chuckles turned to saddened cries.

"Why? Why is this happening to us? Why did this have to happen to Aurora? Out of all people, why did she have to die?!"

Connor tried comforting her by placing a hand on her shoulders, but it was to no avail. She quickly stood up and pointed at Connor.

"Don't you dare  try to comfort me. Don't try to pretend as if everything's alright! Because it's NOT! Aurora's dead all because we..."

Her sentence died down as her eyes began to widen. She slowly turned her head towards Brooke, who was staring back at her with a shocked expression on her face.

"You." Sarah snarled at her.
" She's dead because of YOU! You were the one who was all happy and excited to come to this fucking place! And because of you, Aurora was tortured  to death!"

She screeched, her voice echoing throughout the hallways making the creatures inside the lockers quieten down, before restlessly beginning to hit, scratch and scream towards the source of the sound.

Connor's eyes widened as he saw Sarah grab a large shard of what once seemed to be a long test tube. He quickly jumped in front of her, covering Brooke.

"Sarah, stop! What do you think you're doing?!"

"Move out of the way, Gates. It's already enough with this bitch dying, I don't want to kill you too."

Connor grabbed her shoulders and made her face him, "Are you even listening to yourself right now?! Brooke is not  to blame! We all are! Which means you are too! But would have someone else die really make this situation any better?!"

He stares at her as she clenches her jaw, her grasp on the glass tightening as she lowers her voice and mutters through her teeth, "Get. Out. Of. My. Way."

"No."

Sarah lets out another scream, lifting her hand with the glass up and then bringing it down, seeing Connor's shocked expression.

The sound of glass cutting through skin is faintly heard, the metallic smell of blood contaminating this classroom as well.

Connor pales and Brooke gasps, looking at the glass sticking out of Sarah's thigh.

Sarah looks down as the blood starts staining her leg, trickling down her shin and disappearing in her sock. She starts crying and falls to the floor, shaking her head and whispering, "I don't want to live anymore... Not without Aurora... Someone, anyone, just kill me..."

Connor knelt down next to her, wiping her tears and saying, "Don't think so lowly of your life. I know this place is fucked up and I know you feel like you're going insane, I feel it too, but we can't let those feelings overcome us. We'll get out of here, for Aurora."

Sarah nodded, biting her quivering lip and then wincing as she's reminded of the pain in her leg.

"Ow, fuck.."

Connor looks down at the wound, then starts looking around, at what seemed to be a science class, for some kind of disinfectant.

Huh, a science class... I never noticed.

Brooke, Tony, Oliver and Adam looked with shocked faces towards the scene that had just unraveled in front of them, not believing what had just happened.
Adam gulped as he smelled the scent of blood, his eyes brimming with water as he is reminded of Aurora, the mention of her name and the stench making his chest ache.

He and Aurora were nothing more than friends, and their bonds were not ones of a very close relationship but her passing was still as painful as any other.

Brooke stared as Connor made Sarah straighten her legs, softly grabbing the piece of glass and taking it out while more blood spilled out. Sarah's face was one of pain, her salty tears already dry on her cheeks.

And although what had just happened could've meant the death of Brooke, she couldn't help but feel jealous as Connor comforted Sarah and took care of her wound.

Brooke sighed, wiping her cheeks and looking down on her lap.

I'm as useless as always.

Tony and Oliver starter whispering softly to each other, Tony shaking his head and looking down at something Oliver said then continuing to whisper quietly.

Connor stood up and walked around the classroom, looking for a bandage or something of use.
As he did so, Sarah glanced at Brooke and saw her sigh, her gaze lost and empty on her lap.
Sarah smirked.

And although this went unnoticed by Brooke, Tony, Oliver and Connor, it was a smirk that did not go unnoticed by Adam.
