When I walked into the door Gary began going on a rant about how I should text him multiple times a day. "Ya know Gary, you're really annoying and overprotective for a roommate." I say as I walk to my room. I was cut off by Gary grabbing my wrist. "I have to be!!" "Why?" "Because you are a misbehaving little teen-" "I'm freakin' 23 years old!! I can take care of myself!!" I storm off to my room and lock the door. I heard Gary sigh. "Look, Ib, I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just, you mean so much to me and I'm your protector and I care for you. That's all." I sigh. "Gary, I love you and I know you mean well but you're only 7 years older than me; you're not my dad." He sighed and I heard him go to his room.
After that we didn't talk for a while, not even at dinner. This was strange for Gary. Maybe something was bothering him. "Hey, Ib" he finally broke the silence. "Yeah?" I hesitantly responded with. "You should introduce me to your new friend. It's rude not to make me part of your life." He smiled and I glare at him. "You know too much about my life, ya stalker" I mumble under my breath. "I heard that." He scowled as he put our dishes up and plopped on the couch. "Hey!" I yell over to him, even though he's only 5ft away from me. "What?!" He mocks. "Wanna play a game?" "Sure!" He shoots right up and grabs Monopoly an sets it up on the table. We play until 2:00am. "Ha!! In your face Ib!!" He yells at me. I pout and lay back on the couch. "Meanie." He laughs and heads to his room. "Night, Ib!" "Night Gary!" And with that we both fell asleep.
