Your POV
You land on the ground hard. Nathan's next you but has already let go of your hand.
You look around, you in the middle of some type of forest, with pine trees all spring you.
Over in the distance you can see lights from the coven.
"Why did you take me out here?"
You ask Nathan.
He turns, the moonlight perfectly crossing his face, making his eyes sparkle. Just now you realize he's actually quite handsome.
With his sleek jawline. Light olive skin.
He interrupts your thoughts about him,
"Well, I am your servant so I am supposed to keep you out of trouble and keep you safe, so I transported you out of the big party."
He shrugs and sits down on the ground.
The moonlight is directly on him now. You can see every little thing on his face. But them all beautiful. You decide to sit down next to him.
"It's too bad we can't see the stars cuz of the pines, I am sure they would look just breath taking tonight. "
You say hoping maybe Nate could do something about that.
"Don't worry about that, I gotch you."
He stares at the branches above us.
Soon they all start moving out of the way to form a circle in which we can see into the night sky.
He bends back the branches behind their tree trunks to make them stay.
But he does it all with his mind.
It's kind of crazy to think a year ago, I didn't even know pyroignition was a thing. Like at all. And now I'm sitting in a field watching a boy bend back trees with his brain.
"How's that?"
He asks when he's finished.
"Wonderful. Thank you so much."
I look over at him and smile, but he's already looking at me smiling as well.
I let out a small laugh and look back up into the sky. I swear I have never seen so many stars in my life.
Grace Lees POV
I continue to walk faster, still hearing Zach behind me. Can he just go like, jump off a bridge! I mean seriously! Soon enough I'm almost running. Which is odd, cuz I don't run.
Ever. I think I have gone in almost a full circle now around the tent. I sneak a small leek over my shoulder. He's still there. That creep!
I know there's only one way out of this. I turn, striaght into the crowd. Dodging around people, getting my way to center. There's no way Zach can find me now. I look around. He's nowhere to be seen.
Wheh. Finally. I squeeze my way over to the food table. I am eating chips when the table moves.
I hear a faint
"Crab apples."
From under the table.
That can only be one person.
I lift the table cloth up to see Erin, a bunch of chips, and about four cups of punch.
"Oh hey Grace Lee. Wait. GRACE LEE YAY I FOUND SOMEONE"
She pulls me under the table and hugs me on the ground.Gracie's POV
"Yo Gay people are like actually the best. Like I can't get over how amazing they are."
We're all talking about LGBT+ stuff and how gays are great.
Jessie continues,
"Like, how can anyone hate them?!"
I laugh.
We have music playing from a speaker.
It's pretty lit. I stand up and look out a window.
Down there the parties still happening, I see Zach somewhat chasing Grace Lee.
Omg what if she's in trouble. What if he's actually a terrible person!
I need to help her.
"Hey guy I had a great time and y'all are super cool but I got to go so I will talk to you guys later!"
I run out of the room and down stair.
Out the doors and into the grassy backyard. I see Zach running, I try and catch up with him, grace Lee doesn't notice me.
"Zachary! What are you doing!"
I yell over the loud music.
"I was trying to help Grace find you and her other friends but she won't let me help! I don't want her to get hurt or in trouble by herself!"
I nod.
"Okay keep trying! I am going to look for Erin!"
We're running full speed now and everything's really hard to see. I slow down and see Zach run ahead for Grace Lee. I look at the crowd, it seems to have gotten bigger. I see a small opening, i run for it.
