Chapter Seven

Year; 1584
The Harrison's
A family of four. Mom, Joanne. Dad, Jerry. Twin daughters. Jessica and Jane. The twins could read minds. And the father knew. He took them on a 'fishing trip'. They 'drowned'. But almost the opposite had happened. They were burned.

Year; 2015 modern era
All six of you step in the elevator.
Gracie, Grace Lee, Julie, Lincoln, Jake and you.
It's only a short ride up to the second floor, so the silence was only for a minute or two. But it wasn't an awkward silence. Everyone was thinking about something. Or someone.
"What room is she in Lincoln?"
Gracie asks.
"Room 103"
He answers.
Right next to the elevator.
Short walk.
You all walk in the room except Jake.
"I think I'll just stay out here."
He says since the two of you were the last to enter.
"No it's okay, Come in with me."
You grab his hand and pull him in behind you.
You guys walk in and Erin is in a bed sitting up.
Everyone's hugging her so you let go of Jakes hand and go and hug her.
He stays over by the door.
Your not going to make him hug her.
You step back. It's all silent everyone's looking at her. And she's looking back.
And then, she makes an Erin face.
Erin likes to make these, faces.
Double chins, puffy lips, cross eyes.
The weirdest and ugliest faces she can make. And that's what she choose to do right at that moment. Make a face.
Everybody laughed.
Everybody.
Then the doctor walked in.
"Erin fainted from shock."
Everyone got silent.
You look over at Gracie and Grace Lee who are looking at you.
Jake is also looking at you. Everyone else is looking at he Doctor.
"But she's fine now?"
Lincoln asks.
"Ya, nothing wrong with her."
The doctor says again.
He starts to walk out of the room when he stops and turns around.
"Oh and also. When we were checking her, her heart stopped well she was fainted. For the whole time. Technically you could say she died. But she's fine now."
The doctor says then turns around and walks out. Julie and Lincoln start to run free him.
"Wait, what?"
You yell.
You put up your right hand again.
Everything stops again.
Everybody freezes except Gracie, Grace Lee, Erin and you.
"(Y/n) you did it again."
Grace Lee says.
"Everybody's stopped again."
Gracie says.
"I had too, they said Erins heart stopped."
You say to your friends.
"Ya I heard the doctor talking about how I was actually dead for almost a full 6 minutes."
Erin pipes up.
"What?!"
Gracie says a bit loudly.
"And I know it's true, I remember dying."
"WHAT?!"
Gracie yells this time.
"I was laying on the grass, and there was a flash. Then I felt nothing. There was a black hole. And I just sat there. By myself. Then in the hole I took my hands and kind of rubbed them together and they started to glow. I set them on my chest and then there was another flash and I was in the hospital."
What. She died.
She died.
"What's happening to us? This is stuff that happens to people in movies!"
Grace Lee exclaims.
"People can't know that's she died."
Gracie says.
"I'm going to put my hand down, you guys ready?"
You ask.
"Ya."
All three of them reply.
You put your hand down and everything resumes.
Except when Julie and Lincoln run up behind the doctor they don't say anything. To the doctor.
"Why are we over here?"
Lincoln asks Julie.
"I don't know why are we?"
They both seem utterly confused.
What happened to them asking about Erin dying?
They couldn't have forgotten already?
You look over to Jake,
"So Erin just fainted for no reason?"
Jake says relived.
"But, didn't the doctor just say that she fainted from shock?"
Grace Lee asks Jake.
"What? No he didn't say anything except that she fainted and she's fine now."
Jake responds confused.
Someone's phone starts to ring.
It's Jakes, you know his ring tone.
"Hello?"
He asks whoever is on the phone.
"Ok ya be there soon."
He pulls his phone from his ear and puts it back in his pocket.
"That was my mom, she wants me home for dinner. I hope Erin gets better."
He waves.
"Thanks for driving me"
You give him a gentle smile well you wave him away.
