I was stepping out of the bathroom when I saw a girl attacking Spike. When they saw me they froze. Their only movement was their breathing.
He was holding her shirt on and it seemed that he was trying to get her off of him. He looked shocked, scared, and a few other unidentifiable emotions.
I stood froze for a few second then I noticed that he wasn't wearing a shirt.
I was the first one to speak. I said "ddd...dustin. Wwww.what...."
It was as if I shocked him back to life. He jumped up and the girl landed on the couch. He walked over to his shirt and quickly put it on.
The girl voice stuck in her throat when she said "Dustin...why is their...a wet girl walking out of your bathroom?" he said "Lauren this is Jaz. She lives here and she stays in my room...away from my dad." Her confusion cleared. She gave me a knowing look that said she felt sorry for me. Then he said "jaz this is my girlfriend Lauren."
I felt....well I don't know how to explain it. The whole time I've lived here it has just been Spike and I. I've seen a few servants here and there and john(dustin's friend) but it feels like spike is mine and no one else can have him. He's the person that keeps ME safe. He's the person that I trust. Seeing him with anyone else is...it doesn't feel right.
It felt like my stomach and chest was kicked out of me and I didn't know why I felt that way. Sure, he's been friendly to me but that's it, nothing romantic. And it's illegal for a vampire to marry a human so it could never turn out to be anything. Do I even like him? Well he IS cute but...
I was snapped back to reality by Lauren. She held her hand out for me to shake.
We shook hands and I said "iii...it's nice to meet you. Sorry for barging in on you but I didn't know Sp...um Dustin had a girlfriend. He never told me."
She said "it's okay. If you need anything you can tell me, girl to girl. I know it's hard but Dustin and I are here for you. You can trust Dustin. He's a good person and he understands what you're going through." I shock my head and said "thanks."
After that it got awkward. I fidgeted with my shirt, Lauren picked at her nails, and spike cracked his knuckles.
Lauren asked "do you guys want to go to the mall?" I didn't want to go but I said "I'd love to." I didn't want to be rude. Spike/Dustin said "Can't. I have to go to the group meeting. I'll explain later Jaz. You two can go though."
Lauren kissed him on the cheek and I felt weird. What was my problem? Why was I feeling like a bus ran over me? I did my best to hide it but I still couldn't look at them. Why? He was just my...master, owner, or what ever you want to call it.
She walked over to me and asked "are you ready to go?" I smiled and said "yep."
Spike came behind us and said "let me walk you two out." Lauren took his hand but I stopped them and asked "wait, aren't you taking the collar's remote. You don't even now me Lauren and you...trust me!" I was astounded. She said "you gave me no reason not to trust you. I'm not prejudice against vampires." All I said was "thank you." She smiled and then we left the room.
-At the mall with Lauren
Lauren shouted "let me see Jaz." I walked out of the fitting room and she gasp. She said "you look gorgeous in that. I'm going to get it for you." It was the hundredth outfit I tried on. She was like a short, preppy, shopping energizer bunny. Yes, I like clothes too but it's been hours.
I looked at the price tag and choked. I yelled "oooo, heck no. this thing is more than they bought ME for. You can't buy this, not for me." She said "forget what everyone else says. You deserve this and I'm getting it even if you refuse to wear it." I sighed and said "fine but no more clothes. I'm a vamp and these bags are heavy even for me" she laughed and said "okay, okay you win. No more clothes...BUT YOU NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MAKEOVERS AND JEWELRY!!!" I internally groaned.
She dragged me to the make over place first. After an hour of pure TORTURE I was let free. I hurt from all the waxing and plucking. They plucked half of both of my eyebrows away. OUCH is an understatement.
I walked over to the mirror and looked. WOW. My jaw dropped and Lauren closed it. She said "I can't wait for Dustin to see you. He's going to have you're reaction times ten."
She asked "is there anything you want to get." I blushed. There was something I wanted. I kept it with me at all times but when I was taken so was it. I said "this is kinda embarrassing but... ummm. Never mind, forget I said anything." She said "it's okay. You can tell me. I won't judge."
I blushed and looked down. I said "before I was changed I had a...a...a...um...ring....purity ring." Some emotion passed across but she hid it quickly. It seemed like regret, sadness, jealousy, or maybe anger.
She pulled me to another store and said "pick anyone you want." I smiled and impulsively hugged her. I whispered "thank you so much." Then I ran off to get my ring.
I didn't want to get one too expensive but I didn't want a cheap one that I could accidentally break.
I saw the perfect one. It was inscribed with "one life † one love". It was perfect.

After an hour master came back. He walked over to my limp and almost drained (of blood) body. He pulled me up by my hair but I didn't register the pain. I was to blood deprived.
I couldn't keep my eyes off of the blood creeping up the veins of his neck. Just...one...bite....NO!!! my fangs were growing longer and the venom in my mouth was full. I...need...food...now....stop stop stop. Quit thinking of biting him.
He yelled at me to "GO". I trudged forward and was about to go back into the slave cells when he said "CAR NOW. O and one more thing" he smiled mischievously at me and....WACK. He hit me on the head. He said "one for the road vampy. You creatures disgust me."
I was excited and afraid all at the same time. I might get a nicer master or...... worse. With my luck.........worse, definitely worse.
