Today I am having my baby shower. I had decided that I didn't need one but my mom and Alex decided to throw me one. I've only been to 2 my entire life. My sister's and Stella and Wendy's. It was going to be at my parents house since they have a huge deck with a roof. I'm excited because mine will be based on Mexican baby shower traditions. My mom is Mexican American so I'll be getting that experience.
I was looking through my closet when I get a Skype call. It was unknown but I answered it anyway. Sean came up with a big smile and I literally cried. It was a ugly crying. "Hey my love I miss you" he said. God I missed his voice. "Oh my! I fùcking missed you too!" I whispered, still not believing his calling me.
"I'm sorry I haven't had time to call you. I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to say hi and check in" he says with a small smile and I wipe my face and smile. "I've been good! I have news for you." I say with a big smile. He was going to say something but someone called his name. He turned his head and nodded. "I got to go babe but I'll try and call you again before I get to visit you" he says in a hurry. "I love you" I say with tears in my eyes, "I love you too my love"
I sobbed for a little because for the past 5 months I've missed him so much that this is exactly what I needed, even though I wanted to tell him I was pregnant with his baby.
Alex came about an hour after I stopped crying. I had told her why and she comforted me. "We'll get dressed because we have a baby shower to get to" she says with an excited tone. I laugh at her and rush to the bathroom. I quickly shower and get dressed. I wore a pink Ralph Lauren button down with black jeans.

It was a shirt given to me a year or two ago but it was big on me. But since I'm huge now it fits. I brush my hair and put on some cologne. I grabbed my phone and wallet and headed to the living room.
"You look nice" Alex says as she cat calls. I blush and smile "thanks". I grab my keys and follow her to my moms house. As I park the car, mom comes out all excited and hands me a pink baby shower corsage. It's so pretty I got teary eyed. "Mama, esta bien bonito, lo hiciste?" (Mom, it's so pretty, did you make it?) I asked her. She nodded and I hugged her.
"Thanks Ma" I say and she shakes her head, "you haven't seen anything yet, come on" and drags me inside the house. The party is being hosted at my parents guest house. It's just as big as my parents house.
I gasped as I saw everything. It looked amazing and the colors were pink and green. I felt tears brim in my eyes. "Mom this is amazing" I say as I hugged her again. "No worry mijo, it's for my grand baby". After hugging my mom, I said hi to all of my tías(aunts). I noticed all of them were wearing a small trinket of the baby shower. It's a bunch of ribbons that either has a rattle, teddy or bottle glued to it.
I also noticed they had clothes pins on their shirts. I started to giggle to myself because I knew what this was. I don't exactly remember the name of it but I know how it goes. Every guests is given a clothes pins. So what the guest are supposed to do is not cross their legs. If another guest sees that their legs are crossed then they will have to remove it from the guest and keep it. Whoever has the most clothespins wins a prize.
My aunt Lorenza is a freaking savage. She watches everyone like a hawk. It's so funny because she literally watched everyone and as soon as someone crosses their legs she attacks. 😂
Everyone soon started eating and I was glad. We had Asado de Puerco, rice, beans and mash potatoes. It was so good I had 2 plates. I know I said I am a pescatarian but I had to it pork, it was so good.
Next after eating we started playing some shower games. One of my favorite game is rice with safety pins. What you do is you put small safety pins in a bowl with rice. Then you are supposed to put the bowl on top of your head. Then get a spoon and scoop out the rice and safety pins into plate. The person that collects the most safety pins in 3 scoops wins a price. It was so funny because 2 of my aunts got no safety pins. I laughed so hard because they were sulking. God I love them but damn it's just a game.
The next game was to wrap toilet paper around my belly and measure how many squares big I was. I was 12 squares big. And Alex was the one who won. She was so excited and I loved how happy she was. I love my cousin, she's my closest best friend ever.
After all the fun and games, it was time for cake and to open presents. I got a bunch of clothes and I love it. She got a bunch of dresses and onesies. I got a shit load of diapers and wipes and for that I am forever grateful.

Authors Note: sorry for just a long overdue chapter. I had major writers block and college became to hectic since I took classes in the summer and I also worked part time. But I got this chapter done. Finally!!! Sorry if it's a bit short but I just wanted to upload something for you guys!
