10,000 Emerald Pools.

" Are you ready ? " He turned his head slightly and aimed a smile towards me. I gripped his hand like a it was my lifeline and nodded.

If it hurt, he didn't comment.

He took a running start towards the end of the pier, dragging me along with him and jumped so suddenly I forgot to hold my breath.

The water was cold and it the salt burned my eyes, causing me to close them. I held my breath when all I wanted to do was breath, my lungs were burning.

The jump had torn us apart from each other and I didn't know where he was. He was supposed to help me.

I didn't know how to swim and here I was jumping into a lake. The things I did for him.

When I thought he had surfaced, I felt a hand graving my left forearm. I opened my eyes and saw him.

His brown hair was floating around his head like a halo and his arms reached out towards me. He wrapped his arms around me before sending me a closed smile. He swam upwards taking me with him.

We broke the surface and I gasped, thankful for the air that was making its way into my lungs. He unwrapped one of his arms off me and lifted a hand towards my hair, pushing a lock of it back and away from my eyes.

" That wasn't so bad now, was it?" He smiled causing one of his dimples to appear on his cheek.

My face heated up as I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck.
