Chapter Two

Did she just say what i think she said? Nope this is just a dream, it has to be. I'm going to wake up any minute now. I wait and no such luck. My mother walks ahead of me, not giving me a second glance. I sign and follow after. Boarding school? I haven't done anything wrong! How am i going to survive boarding school?

Thoughts keep running through my head as I get into the passenger seat of the car. My mother starts up the car and music fills my ears. I don't say anything for the rest of the car ride home.

We finally arrive back home and i go straight to my room. I get a suitcase out and begin packing. Maybe this won't be so bad? I could start out fresh, maybe make some new friends. In a way i guess I'm a little happy about this, no more Brad! I won't have to see him and that slut, Amber, every day. Thinking back to yesterday a knot forms in my stomach. Two years gone to waste. But I can't say I never saw it coming because i did, he became distant last week, he wasn't texting me back, and he never made any plans to see me, but i never thought he would cheat on me, let alone on my birthday.

I was an idiot.

I grab my laptop and the charger along with my phones charger. I get three pairs of skinny jeans and three pairs of sweatpants and put that all in my suitcase. I grab all the necessary

clothes. I get my bathroom supplies and put it all in there. And of course i grab my favorite book. I'm all packed for tomorrow! I look to the clock and realize i need to get to bed for my flight that leaves early in the morning.

I'm standing in front of a lion. I'm not frightened by it though, most lions have brown eyes but this one has vibrant green eyes. I feel like I know this lion. He looks at me and there's a smirk in his eyes, like he's making a joke. He comes closer and allows me to pet him. His main is soft, softer than i expected a lion to feel like. He suddenly turns around and runs into the forest, and i'm compelled to follow. The trees are dancing as the wind plays it's soft melody, then it all stops. Not a creature makes a noise. Something's wrong. I turn to leave but I'm blocked by a hard chest. I look up and there's a man there, if you can even call him a man. His eyes are blood red and his skin is pale white. He has fangs. I've seen this monster before, I know it. The look in his

eyes isn't the same look i saw in the lion, no this look is telling me I'm the prey while he is the hunter. Fear strikes me and I prepare to turn and run back out of the forest, but as i turn he moves at incredible speed and stands in front of me. Then he speaks.

"Alyssa, my darling, why such a rush? Don't you want to stay and chat for awhile?" He's taunting me, almost daring me to run.

"What do you want?" great, now i sound like one of those chique girls in a horror movie, I'm so dead. What he does next surprises me and sends fear down my spine, he laughs. This laugh sounds familiar.

"Soon my darling Alyssa, we shall meet and you will know exactly what i want. Remember don't hide from me, I'll find you." with this he starts to fade away.

I'm woken up by my alarm clock, the dreadful beeping. Another strange dream. The laugh is still fresh in my mind and i can't help like I've heard it somewhere before. I shake it off and walk into my bathroom. As I'm turning the water on my reflection catches my attention, my dark brown hair has grown longer throughout the night, so long that it now reaches my butt. Just last night it went a little past my shoulders. My grey eyes look brighter, and looking closely you can see a little bit of purple swirled in there, that's never been there either. What the hell happened throughout the night? All my assets have grown to be perky as well. I turn from my reflection and jump in the shower, loving the sting the hot water made with my cold body. Wait, cold body? I need some food.
