I stand on the porch of my house, looking at the lifeless grey sky. Fitting for the death of Dereck. Grey skies always reminded me of Vesper, and now, Dereck.

The door behind me opens. "Whoa..."
I turn around. Ethan Hunt. "Get out." I'll never forgive him for what he did to Vesper.
"Hold up. You have Chloe here- my daughter that I haven't seen in two weeks, and you want me to leave?"

"Yes. You know why."
Ethan shakes his head like he doesn't know. "What are you talking about?"
I punch him in the jaw, slamming him against the glass door. I knee him in the stomach many times, till he grabs me by my throat.

"Dad, stop!" Chloe screams, holding him back.

"Let me go!"
"Guys! Stop it now!" Benji orders.

Everyone separates us. Except for Benji's daughter and Ella.

"What is wrong with you?" Chloe asks. "Why are you guys fighting?"

"Vesper." I say.

"What?"
"I didn't kill her!" Ethan confessed. "The building was caving in, and I escaped in time! I didn't bomb it, I swear!" He looks like he's telling the truth straight from his heart.
But that's not enough to let her death go. "You could've saved her."
"She wasn't my worry. She was yours."
"Dad, stop!" Chloe looks at me. "Bond. Ella's out of her drug-thingy."
"Good. I need to talk to her. Actually, we need to talk to her so we can stop those bombers."
"I'm not doing this if we're going to fight over something in the past." Ethan says.

"You should. The past lingers on, even when it's not thought of."
