Eden: I saw it all happen, right in front of me. A mangy wolf I recognized as Dillon jumped Lea before clamping his jaws onto her shoulder. She fell backwards and let out a cry in pain. I let out a loud howl before sprinting towards her. I was there in seconds and ripped Dillon from her. I pinned him to the ground before my fangs dug into his throat. I pulled and thrashed, tearing it to pieces. He gargled blood as he tried to breathe but it was no use. Soon he was lifeless in my grasp. I still kept ripping and tearing though.
Dani came up behind me and pushed me off of the lifeless body I had locked into my jaw. I snapped out of it as I hit the ground. Then I began to change back into my human form. It was slower and more painful than I would've liked but in moments I was laying there naked.
Members from the other pack tried to attack me in my weakened form but Dani had my back. As I transformed, he fended them off. He began to become outnumbered though and fell himself, letting out a quick yelp. He still fought though. Finally the Volkov's realized what was going on and pounced into the pile, helping him.
Once I was changed, I got up and made my way to Lea's motionless body. As she lay, she looked beautiful. Her dark hair had fallen in waves above her head and her mouth was partly open as her eyes were closed. Her face was pale from the bloodless.
"Baby, baby," I cried over and over.
I knelt down beside her and applied pressure to her gushing wound. Blood was everywhere and covered my hands. I was having no luck trying to stop it but I still tried. I couldn't lose her. She was my everything. I could not lose my everything.
