Chapter 11

That stopped me right in my tracks. What did he mean he was an "experiment gone wrong???" Doing a one-eighty, I marched back to him and grabbed his arm dragging him down the hall. Glancing to my left I saw an empty stairwell and yanked him in. Shoving him towards the stairwell, I stood infront of him  with my arms crossed.

"You have 5 minutes to explain. Start"

Getting up, Blu dusted imaginary dirt off of himself and started pacing around back and forth.

"I don't know how to begin," he started

"Just start from the beginning. Where else?" I snarled

"Okay, well you know those pictures you saw on my hallway walls,"

Nodding my head I replied, " yeah yeah, tick tock the clocks ticking and we haven't gotten anywhere yet."

"Okay okay. Well we used to have alot more. It was scattered with pictures of my brother and I as we were growing up. Majority of them consisted of the both of us. After the accident my parents took down all of the pictures. Thats why you only saw just my mother, father and I up there," Blu ran his hands across his face and looked at me solemly.

"It all started when my parents were working in their lab. Aiden, that's my brothers name, was naturally curious. He always was since he was born. Always crawling around trying to discover something new. Well that day, my parents were doing some experiments on butterflies trying to get them to cross breed. They told us both to stay out of the lab. I was supposed to be watching Aiden, but we both fell asleep. Aiden had woken up early, and crept into the lab. My parents were just finishing setting up the experiment when Aidy walked in fascinated by the butterfly and sat on the MixItUpinator (a/n lol , I just HAD to name it that.) I guess my parents didn't notice him and fired up the machine. The butterflies DNA was mixed with Aidy's and he became that - half human, half butterfly."

My jaw dropped after hearing that.

" My parents were shocked when they came out and saw him," He then scoffed. "They blamed me, but eventually decided it wasn't my fault since Aiden was naturally curious, and they had warned him enough times not to go in there. Ever since then, they've been working on a cure for him. He drinks nectar from plants and grows like a human, but he can't speak. He communicates to us through text or writing. Now, does that answer all of your questions?"

"Ye-yeah, um, that must be really difficult," I stuttered. "Um, do you think I can actually meet your brother now. I mean, just to apologize for what I did"

"Oh now you're sorry. After ignoring me," Blu sighed. "Fine. After school meet me by my car.
