Chapter 2

I called the first person that came to my mind as I was sobbing really hard on my bed. Di ko mapigilan ang mga luha ko sa pagpatak.

"H-Hello, Ate?" I stuttered.

"Hello, who's this?!"

"Huh? Ate ako---"

"Kung ikaw ang gagong si James Reid, don't call me again. I'm having fun here!"

I was stopped when I heard her boyfriend's name. Huh? Nag away din sila? Patay.

"Ate! It's me! Your sister! Where are y---"

The call hung up before I could ask where she was.

Dali dali akong nag ayos ng mukha at nagbihis. Bumaba na ako sa aming condo at sumakay sa aking kotse.

Saka ko lang narealize na di ko nga pala alam kung nasaan si Ate.

I quickly dialed the closest person to my sister. Her bestfriend. Liza.

"Hello, Liz?"

"H-Hello? Who's this?"

Ano bang meron sa mag bestfriend na 'to at hindi tumitingin sa caller id bago sumagot?

Natigil ako nang marinig ko siyang suminghot. Parang umiiyak.

"Liz, it's me. Kathryn. Are you okay?"

"Oh. Uhm. Y-Yes, I'm fine. Medyo sinisipon lang." she let out an awkward laugh. I can tell she's not good at lying though.

I stayed quiet for like a minute or so.

"Uhh, Kath? Are you still there?"

Shit! Oo nga pala! Si Ate!

"Do you know where my sister is, Liz?"

"She didn't call me. Why? Wala siya sa condo niyo?"

"I called her kasi kanina. I think she was drunk? She was talking about her boyfriend, James. She said gago daw."

"Baka nag away sila? Oh, wait pano natin malalaman kung nasaan siya?"

"I don't know... Maybe she was in a bar. Malakas yung music sa background niya and she was kinda shouting..."

"Oh! There's only one bar she goes to when she feels lonely. I'll text you the address. I'll meet you there. Okay? Stay safe."

"Okay. Thank you, Liz! Ingat ka rin."

I ended the call and waited for her text that came seconds after.

I quickly drove to the bar Liza texted me. Pagkababa ko ng kotse ay nakita ko agad si Liza na naghihintay sa may entrance.

"Hey, Liz!"

She looked at me and quickly hugged me.

"Hi, Kath!"

Binitawan niya naman agad ako at pumasok na kami sa loob.

"We should split up so we could easily find Nadz." Liza suggested.

"Okay. You go left and I go right. Text me when you see her."

"Okay. Bye!"

I scanned the whole place first before walking in on a sea of people.

I was trapped in the middle of the dance floor and was kinda feeling dizzy because of all the people dancing wildly.

"Fuck!"

May humawak sa butt ko!

Lumingon ako para makita ang isang lalaking nagga-grind sa akin.

"Ew! Get off me!"

"Wag ka na pakipot, miss!"

He's so drunk and I think he lost his senses. Ang bastos!

Nabigla na lang ako ng nakitang nakahandusay na sa sahig ang bastos na lalaki at hinihila na ako ng isa pa.

"Ugh! Ano ba?!"

Sino ba 'to?

Nasagot ang tanong ko nang lumingon siya saakin and glared at me.

"What exactly are you doing? Ba't ka nagpapabastos?!"

"Sa tingin mo ba ginusto ko yun? Gago ka pala e!"

Nagulat na lang ako nang bigla niya akong yakapin.

"I was so worried. Wag mo nang uulitin yun ha."

Tinulak ko kaagad siya.

"Worried your face! Dyan ka na nga!"

Mabilis akong umalis dun at naghanap ulit kay Ate.

Ugh! The nerve of Daniel! Pagkatapos akong paiyakin, ganun ganun lang? No way!

Natauhan ako ng nag vibrate ang phone ko. I looked at the caller id at dali daling sinagot ng makitang si Liza iyon.

"Hello, Liz? Have you found her?"

"Yes and I really need your help!"

"What? Why?"

"Andito kami sa parking lot at nagwawala ang kapatid mo. Paulit ulit siya sa pangalan ni James and I think nasabi niya na lahat ng mura."

Narinig ko nga may parang sumisigaw sa background.

"Oh my God! Wait for me, okay? I'm on my way!"

What the hell is happening? Mukhang hindi lang kami ni Daniel ang World War III ngayon. Jusko, magulo.
