Chapter 1

*Kriiiiiiing*

It all started with just one ring of the bell.

"Ano ba, Daniel! Tama na! Itigil na kasi natin 'to!"

Dismissal. Kalalabas ko lang ng classroom ko, eto nanaman si Daniel, kinukulit ako sa relasyon namin.

"No, Kath. Mahal kita at alam mo yun. Hinding hindi kita bibitawan." He said with conviction.

"You know I love you, too. Pero kung magpupumilit ka na umamin na sa lahat ng tao, break na tayo!"

"Bakit ba?! Ikinahihiya mo ba ako? Come on, Kath. 5 years na tayo together, halatang halata naman na tayo. Bakit di pa tayo umamin?"

"You know naman Mommy and Daddy diba? Studies first!"

"Alam naman na nila ang tungkol sa relationship natin ah? At alam na alam kong Tita Min and Tito Teddy isn't against us!"

"Yes! I know, Daniel! But I don't want to dissapoint them. Alam kong magagalit sila kapag nalaman nilang umamin na tayo!"

"How do you know, e hindi naman sila mismo ang nagsabi? Para malinaw, I'll go to your house right now and I will personally ask permission from them!"

"Daniel! Ugh!"

He walked out while I followed him because I know na pupunta talaga siya sa bahay namin to ask my Mom and Dad. He's that determined. And I hate it!

Meanwhile...

"Nadine! Please! Pag usapan natin 'to!"

I walked as fast as I can papuntang parking lot para lang malayo kay James. He's so annoying!

"No, James! Kung gusto mo, dun ka na lang sa babae mo. Baka sakaling kausapin ka nun!"

Shit! Bakit ba ang bagal kong maglakad?! Naabutan tuloy ako!

He grabbed my hand and pinned me to the side of my car.

"No, Nadine. Mag uusap tayo. Bago mo pa maisipang magpalit ng number, magtago saakin, at umiwas. And maybe even you'll also transfer to another school! I know you're capable of doing that. You did that to me the last time we fought!"

Kumawala ako sa hawak niya at itinulak siya. I hurriedly went inside my car and opened the window.

"Well, thanks for the idea, James!" I said sarcastically and started the engine of my car.

I drove as fast as I can so he couldn't follow me.

Liza and Enrique?

Cold war.

Ganito ang sistema namin ni Quen ngayon. Kahit magkasama kami, walang imikan.

"You know what?! I won't ask for an apology kasi in the first place, wala naman akong kasalanan!" He burst out.

Too bad, Quen. You spoke first, you lose.

I looked at him. More like glared. Then, I looked away. I got my bag from him and started walking away.

"Liza! Ano ba! Ang immature mo! Speak up!"

I continued walking as I dialed my driver.

"Hello, Manong? Can you please pick me up po?.... Ah, nasa parking lot ka na po?.... Sige po, wait for me. Malapit na ho ako."

I ended the call and put my phone inside my pocket.

"Liza!" I can hear his footsteps behind me.

May dumaang mga kaklase ko and they greeted me. I just smiled at them and waved.

Nang malapit na ako sa parking lot, may biglang humila sa kamay ko kaya napaharap ako sakanya.

"Hey! Ano ba!"

Ang sakit kaya!

"Liza, please. Stop being so immature!"

Now, I'm really angry.

"Wow!" I said full of sarcasm.

"Ako pa talaga ang immature ha? Sino ba sa ating dalawa ang ayaw umamin sa kasalanan niya at ayaw pa ring mag sorry? Ako ba ha?"

"Oh come on, Liza. Don't make it such a big deal!"

"Big deal ha?! You tried to kiss me infront of everyone! Alam mo namang kapag nakaabot 'to sa parents ko, e malalagot ako! I'm not yet allowed to kiss anyone!"

"I was just fooling around, Liza!"

Tinalikuran ko na siya and went inside my car.

"Yeah. Well, I was just fooling around with our relationship, too." I said in a low voice but still enough for him to hear.

What will happen? Will one of them give up?
