A love song for no one

Apat na taon na ang nakalipas and here I am a successful woman..well I call myself successful. Why? Cause I think I've done all I ever wanted in life, a successful career,friends,and of course a loving and supportive family.

I love traveling alone because I love street photography . Don't get me wrong it's good to travel when your with friends but sometimes it's also nice to be with just yourself..

Rob and I are good friends even though nagaasume yung dalawang besties ko na we have a thing which seriously none as in zero..Why? Because for four years we really feel that we are really JUST friends..walang friend zone na naganap..

Habang busy ako sa paghahanda ng dinner for three my phone suddenly beep and I found a text from Rob.

"babe it's my birthday! Your old guy felt hurt though you missed to greet me today.."

"Omg I'm so sorry bud I really forgot it..Happy birthday! What can I get to this old man?" agran kung reply shot dahil sa project na ginagawa namin ni Jen which is tomorrow na ang presentation nalimutan ko toh my guy friend's birthday..

"Just you.. hey I'm driving.. I'll be there in a few..see you babe.."

I got up went straight to the shower..binilisan ko talaga ang pag ligo grabe I'm the worst...I wore my simple dress and a pair of flat shoes..simple make up lang din para sa madaliang pagpreprepare.

Lakad at takbo any ginawa ko...habang nasa lobby at nakasalubong ko si Tasha na kakarating lang from her work

"Hey where are you going? " Tasha asked..

"Birthday ni Rob we will have a dinner outside.. Nagtampo kasi nakalimutan ko.. "

"Asuuus.. Cg na push.. Buti pa kayo matatag ang relationship! "

"Tigilan mo na nga ang ka bitiran mo sa buhay.. And for the nth time were just friends "

"Oo nah.. Parang showbiz eh. Dideny pah!.. Cg na ingat kau.. " after she said that she kissed me on the cheeks at umalis na..

Dumiritso ako ng lakad palabas. I was about to text him ng biglang may napansin akong sasakyang nakapark just a few meters from me at nakita ko ang taong di ko inaasahang makita..

Si James. Hindi ko siya pinansin. Nang makarating na ako sa labas ng building sakto naman ang pagdating ng sasakyan ni Rob. He got out of his car and greeted me with a smile.

"Hi babe" he said and welcome me with a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday bud!" I smiled at him.

"Let's go" he opened the door of the car for me and before I entered tinignan ko ang sasakyan ni James na umaandar na paalis.

For four years akala ko wala na ang sakit na naramdaman ko. Pero isang kita ko lang sa kanya lahat ng sakit unti unting bumabalik. Which is not good.

"Okay ka lang suz? Ang lalim ata ng iniisip mo. Is there something wrong?"bigla akong natauhan ng magsalita si Rob.

"Nothing my naalala lang ako sa work. And i miss my pet." I told him

"Yeah i miss him too. Dont worry malapit na ang weekends. I wanna go with you in Laguna but I have a business trip." He said

"Ano ka ba it's okay, so saan tayo magdidiner?".

"Actually we are going to Savora i know its your fave resto"

"Hahaha..shut up I know kaya mo lang gusto dun kasi magpapansin ka na naman ky Layla dun"

Layla siya yung owner ng favorite restaurant namin mg bestfriends. Ako ang nagpakilala sa dalawang to. To make the story short na love at first sight si Rob but Layla's so workaholic na di muna tinanggap ang panliligaw ni Rob. And i think she thinks na my something sa amin dalawa. At di ko din malaman dito sa isa na my pagka torpe pala to tinanggihan lang ng isang beses di na umulit. Pero papansin naman ng papansin.

"Shut it babe,she doesn't even care" he said na my halong inis

"Wag mo kasi akong matawag tawag na babe pagkaharap siya. Kaya tayo pinakakamalan na couple eh"

"Haha.cant help it"

We arrived at the resto at ito and seated at the table for two that he reserved . We ordered ng my biglang tumawag ky Rob.

"Excuse me suz i need to take this call". He said

"Sure go ahead."

I whisper something to the waiter.I dont have a gift right now might as well think of something na im sure matutuwa si Rob.

Bumalik na si Rob after niyang makipag usap sa phone. We just talk while waiting for our food. And when our food is served.

"Why are you smiling like that suz?"nagtataka sya sa kakaibang ngiti ko.

"I have a surprise for you and it will come in 3..2..1.."

Sakto naman ang paglabas ni Layla galing ng kitchen dala ang isang maliit na cupcake with candle.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Rob matapos nyang marinig na sabay sabay kumanta ng happy birthday ang staff ng Savora lalo na ng makita niya ang cupcake na dala ni Layla.

"Happy birthday bud! Make a wish and blow your candle!"

Hindi niya maalis ang tingin ky Layla. Napangiti ito bago ng blow ng candle.

"Thanks everyone. Thank you suz! Thank you Lays". He said to us

"Youre welcome. Enjoy your dinner!"

Akmang aalis na ang babae ngunit bigla ko itong hinila paupo. Well lulubos lubusin ko na ang regalo ko ky Rob. Hahaha

"Join us Layla" saad ko sa kanya

"No no. It's your date. Ayokong maka distorbo. "

"No you stay!" Bigla naman akong napangiti ng sumabat si Rob.

Napaupo naman si Layla. And of course good for 3 naman itong food so all they have to do is to add a plate for Layla. And of course i need to escape later..

While we are eating napansin ko ang panaka nakaang tingin ni Rob sa tahimik na kumakaing si Layla. Ang awkward talaga nila. I think kelangan ko nang umexit.

"Ahm guys bathroom lang ako"

Agad naman sumang ayon ang dalawa. After kong magbathroom di na ak9 bumalik ng table at napagpasyahang sa staff exit nalang lumabas para di ako makita ng dalawa. I texted Rob though baka mag alala yun.

Time to make your move bud! Happy birthday. Dont look for me na Jena is here already to pick me up. Enjoy your date..

I smiled.

Habang naglalakad ako palabas ng Savora. My bigla akong napansing isang itim na auto. Di ko nalang pinansin. Ng makarating ako sa taxi stand bigla itong humintobsa harapan ko.

The window of the car rolled down. And shiiit..
