"F/N?" Asks Marshall, a hint of happiness visible in his voice. "Marshall!" I yell. I run up and jump at him. He wraps his long slender arms around my back and hugs me to stop me from knocking him over. "I didn't expect you to come visit me." Marshall states cheerfully, as he ruffles my hair. "But I visit you nearly every day. We always hang out!" I whine playfully as I pull away from our hug. I look a little down from his face and notice his bare chest. Wait! He wasn't wearing a shirt!? I feel my face begin to heat up as I realise that I had just hugged him. He chuckles at my expression before he picks me up by putting an arm around my waist. He then closes the door and places me on the big, cold, uncomfortable, red couch.

"So are you ready for our jam session?" I ask. "Sure! But haven't you already sang today?" Marshall asks, as a smirk crosses his face. "Huh? I wasn't- Oh. I WAS singing." I say, beginning to remember the song that I was singing. It starts to play in my head. "Who were you singing about? I hope it wasn't anyone apart from me~" Marshall tries to flirt, but of course it doesn't work. "I wasn't singing about anyone. I was just singing a song." I reply nonchalantly. "Okay, I believe you." Marshall says sarcastically. "Are we gonna play or not?" I ask, pretending to be angry. "Yea, yea!" Chuckles Marshall as he throws his hands above his head jokingly. He floats upstairs next to the ladders.

About a minute later he comes back downstairs, with a top on! And his red axe bass in his left hand. "Ready?" He asks. "Yup!" I shout happily. I stand up off the couch and get ready to start singing.

~Cue song~ Bad Little Boy - Adventure Time

"Good little girl,
Always picking a fight with me.
You know that I'm bad,
But you're spending the night with me.
What do you want from my world?
You're a good little girl."

"Bad little boy.
That's what you're acting like,
I really don't buy,
That your that kind of guy.
And if you are,
Why do you want to hang out with me?"

"Don't you know I'm a villain?
Every night I'm out killin',
Sending everyone running like children.
I know why you're mad at me,
I got demon eyes and they're looking right through your anatomy.
Into your deepest fears,
Baby I'm not from here.
I'm from the Night 'O Sphere.
To me you're clear,
Transparent.
You got a thing for me, girl,
It's apparent."

I stop singing, a little lost for words. We had sang this song before but he had never sang those last four lines, he must have thought of them after the last time we sang this and decided to sing the new lyrics. I think for a moment before replying, but no longer singing.

"You're not so bad y'know."

"Not so bad?
I'm the son of a demon,
And the Vampire King.
It's not something I have to try at.
You on the other hand..."

He replies to me, dropping his singing as well. As he finishes he eyes me up and down with a little smirk. I look down, avoiding his gaze as I try to think of how to reply.

"I'm not trying to be bad.
I'm hanging out with you because you're my friend."

~Song end~ ((I know this song is used often but I enjoy it so I wanted to use it in this book.))

"Don't hit me!" I pout as I fall to the couch. "Hehe why? Cos you're a girl?" Chuckles Marshall. "I'm not a- NO that's NOT the reason why!" I shout. "Haha! Ok!" He shouts chuckling. I scowl at him and he makes a worried face, pretending to be scared. I giggle and he just smiles at me.

"Are you hungry?" Asks Marshall. "Yea!" I shout happily. "Kay." Says Marshall. He walks to the kitchen and comes back through with a green apple. "Here ya go." He says as he hands me the apple. I take a bite of the apple and it tastes amazing. It's sour, but it's a good kind of sour. I look up at Marshall only to see that he's staring at me, no, my shirt, with hungry eyes. "Didn't you get yourself anything?" I ask awkwardly, as I find it creepy when he stares at me. "Na." He says, still staring at my shirt. "Why not?" I ask again. "There's nothing red. Marceline bought the wrong apples." He says, once again still staring at my top. I look down at my top and notice that it's red. Oh. No wonder he keeps staring at it. He's hungry, and it's red! "U-um do you want it?" You ask, pulling at your top. Marshall's face lights up and he nods strongly. "U-um ok." I say awkwardly as I get up off the couch and walk over to him.

"My top will just turn white? Right? It won't become see-through?" I ask worryingly. "It should just turn white, only that, nothing else." He says as he puts his hands on my shoulders. He smiles and lifts up my top a little from the side. He floats down so that his head is at the same level as my ribs, and the top. Marshall pulls the shirt tightly and leans forward, sucking the red out of my top. When he's done he thanks me and I smile at him.

*ping* Goes my phone. Great. It's Fionna. "Sorry, it's Fionna. I'm just gonna quickly text her. I'll be quick." I say as I plop down on the couch and open messenger.

F: So how's your date with Marshall goin'? 😋
F/N: It's NOT a date!

Fionna added 'Marshall' to the chat.

M: Sup! 😈
F/N: What's with the '😈' emoji?
M: Dunno. I was just using it.
F: F/N, when are you comin' back? Cake's away at Lord Monochromicorn's house. She's staying there for the night.
F/N: I'll head over now if that's okay with Marshall.
M: Fine by me. 😢
M: I'll just stay here. Alone. 😢
F/N: Kay, I'll head over now Fionna.
F: Okay. I'll see ya soon. 😜

I lock my phone screen and stuff my phone in my shoes. "Bai! Marshall!" I shout as I walk towards the front door. "Wait!" Shouts Marshall. I turn around and get suffocated in a huge hug from Marshall. I want to hug him back but I can't because his grip is too strong and he's covering my arms, so I just keep my arms at my sides. "Bye F/N!" He shouts, letting me go and holding open the door. "Bai!" I shout again as I walk out.
