Charlotte's POV
I opened the door of the terrace and stepped out to smell the fresh air of London.
I will never get tired of this view.
It's been a month since I woke up from a comma. I wonder what's my old life feels like. Yes, that's right. I lost all my memories. Imagine waking up to not knowing who are you.
*Flashback*
My eyes slowly opened and instantly regretting it as I came contact with a bright light. It hurts my eyes, so I quickly shut it again and groaned.
Wait, where am I?
...who am I?
"Honey, she's awake! Thank God, thank You so much!" Someone cried. I think it's from a woman.
A figure of a man stood before me, he looked at me and smiled. "Hey princess, how are you feeling?"
Who are they?
"Who are you?" My voice could only speak in a hoarse whisper.
The woman quickly grab a glass of water to let me drink. I shyly gulped the water and said thank you to the female stranger.
"Feeling better?" She asked me and I nodded.
"Sweetheart, don't you remember us?" The man standing from the other side spoke. I shook my head and tried to remember but failed. "No, I don't. Who are you people?"
"I'll call the doctor." The man said and quickly walked out of the room. The woman on the other hand, continued sobbing.
Minutes later, a doctor came in and checked on me. "Looks like she lost her memories. Situations like this happen also, after being in comma for a while, there are circumstances where you will lose your memories."
After explaining it to them the doctor turned to me. "Your amnesia is induced from the accident you suffered five months ago."
I swallowed all the information at the moment and gasped. "Amnesia? What Accident?" Tears started falling down my eyes.
The woman hurriedly gave me a hug and sobbed. "Don't worry honey, we're here with you. We won't leave you, that's a promise."
*End of flashback*
"What are you thinking, dear?" A female voice, I assume it's my mom, appeared.
I turned around and smiled at her. "Just stuff..." I sighed and added. "Mom, I think I'm ready to know everything about my past."
My mom's eyes widened, at first she looked hesitant but spoke. "I think what you need is rest."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Mommy dear, I have been resting for six long months. I think I have enough of the bed."
My mom chuckled and walked slowly towards me. "Alright dear. I will tell you everything, but not tonight. I will tell you when I feel that you're really ready." She said and quickly added. "It doesn't mean that I think you can't handle it but it's just I don't wanna scare you. Let's take it slow sweetheart, you're just recovering."
I sighed again but hugged her. She may be hiding my past from me but I also know that she's doing it for my own good.
After the day that I woke up from comma, they have only told me few things about myself. Like for example, my name, my family, my likes and dislikes, my childhood, the school that I went to in High School and College, and the memories I've shared with my parents.
