Chapter 14
Unknown’s POV
“It’s it working?” I asked the Lycan.
“Yes, the plan is going perfectly well” He grinned. “Soon we shall start”
“It’s just a matter of time before the female is out, we need him fully concentrated. He must join our pack. Whatever you do, don’t let him have the chance to make things better with the bitch”
“By the way, your bitch is waiting in your room” He licked his lips.
“She can wait” I snapped. “Now tell me about….”
Brittany’s POV
I’ve been awake all night, having a feeling that something was going to happen, I kept trying to make my leaf bed better, but I can get the trick, it just doesn’t feel right in any way. I kept feeling strange…
After what felt like a hundred years, I went to sleep.

I got woken up by the horrible smell of fire, inhaling the air in, my lungs started to fail and I started coughing.
“Fire fire!!” Someone outside screamed terrified, screams erupted everywhere. I tried searching for a way out but I couldn’t see because of the smoke, then I remember I was in a cell.
“Jace” I coughed terrified, I needed to get out, quick.
“I’m here” He appeared in human form next to me.
“I’m scared” I whimper, panicking.
“Shhshh, everything will be alright” He whisped/coughed, pulling me to him so I could breath his scent in and not the smoke, but I still could smell it.
Suddenly we heard the door burst open and the cell being open.
“Hurry!! We must get out now” Lutherio coughed, appearing in our view, I looked at him wide eyed. He looked like he had fought, he had scratches all over and on his shoulder he had a teeth mark whom was still bleeding.
Jace lifted me as he stood up and we walked out, you could hear coughing everywhere but you could not see.
“Follow me” Lutherio ordered and Jace nodded following after him as he went to the right, left,left,right,strait,right… you get the drift <.<
In seconds we were out and into the forest. As we got out there were a bunch of Lycans dead in the ground and some where coughing deeply.
Jace lay me down and he collapse next to me coughing loudly, Lutherio did the same.
My lungs still screamed painfully but I tried to ignore it and turned my head to the side where the hole to enter the cave was. I watched the black smoke as it came out of the cave and into the sky, Lycans kept appearing, some of them even dragging themselves out. I turned my head to the other side, I couldn’t keep watching.
Minutes passed and no more Lycans came out, so Lutherio got up with much difficult(still coughing) and started at his people.
“Lycans we must move, we are in-” he coughed “We are in danger here in the open, they can attack us at any moment now, I will explain everything when we reach a safe place, please follow me” And we much struggle he started to lead his people forward. The lycans who were alright helped the ones who were weak.
I never thought Lycans could cry, all of them were crying. Not one of them did not cry. Even the ones who died slowly, one tear slipped. And I could understand their pain. Watching their kind die from hunger is something, but watching their kind die because someone intended it is another thing.
As Jace and I follow them into a safe place, tears spilled out freely from my eyes. Never in my whole life would I have imagine what happen here.

When we reached a cave, all the wounded got in and the ones alright stayed outside waiting for Lutherio to speak.
My lungs were still killing me but it was less now, I do however; cough a few times, but nothing mayor…. I think, and I do hope the pups are alright.
I snuggle closer to Jace, who was in wolf form, smelling in his scent to calm my nerves.
“As you all know” Lutherio began in a weak voice, all the way here he was been struggling to walk, sometimes he will fall but he will stand back up and kept walking, one time he started to cough blood and when Luke asked if he was alright he said it was fine and kept going, I respect the Lycan, he has guts. “We have been attacked by the Star lites pack, they started the fire trying to exterminate us all”
There were growls everywhere as Lutherio mention the Star lite pack.
“Why do you keep saying it’s them?” Jace snapped.
“Why do you keep defending them?” I snapped back backing away from him.
“Because they are my friends, I trust them”
“Open your eyes! See what they have done! Do you seriously consider them as your friends?” I growled.
“You have no proof they did this, I know Mike! He wouldn’t do this” He snarled.
“Fine,” I snapped “Decide now, mate or friends?”
He looked taken aback “What?”
“Your mate or you friends?” I repeated.
“You can’t make me choose!” He hissed looking a bit angry.
“I’m doing it now, am I?” I snorted. “So what is it going to be”
He hesitated and my heart broke as he did.
“I’ll leave” The lycans gasped (I forgot we had an audience)
I sighed masking my face, no emotion showing “Fine, leave”
Jace hesitated again, I thought he was going to work this through, but then he shook his head and walked away.
“You’re not letting him leave are you? He will become your enemy if you don’t stop him” Luke asked me quietly as we watched him leave.
I turned to him, my eyes emotionless “It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.” Then I turned my head to where he disappeared, every second he didn’t turn back, a piece of my heart was ripped out of me until there was nothing left to rip.
I then turned to Lutherio who was watching me quietly.
“Now w-” I yelped loudly as pain erupted everywhere in my body. What now ?!?!!?
I lay in the ground trying to not let a painful howl slip.
“What’s wrong with her?!!?” Luke asked.
And I had a feeling that I knew what was wrong.
Shit! I’m ready to give birth! At this freaking time! I thought I had like one more month left!! D:
