Chapter 17
“But why?” I whimper snuggling closer to him.
“I have no choice” He replied.
“yes you have! You just don’t see it, it will come to you, I know it” I growled. “Think about the pups, me! Don’t you want to stay and protect us from the bad?” Well that was stupid Bri -.-
“I wish I could be here and protect you all, but I’m doing this because I want to protect you,” He said “Please, let us not fight anymore. I want to spend my last hours with my family”
I sighed, this can’t turn this way, I can feel it, I know he will survive.
Before you knew it, it was night time and everyone was outside around the fire planning for tomorrow.
“It’s better if we move at midnight” Luke said.
“I agree” Everyone nodded.
“Ok so team A goes straight, team B you go around.” Lutherio said “ Team C and D, you attack from the sides.”
“And my pack will do what?” Zack asked.
“How many are they?”
“Thirty five” Zack answered.
“Five of them go with team A, five with B, five with C and five with D. The rest go behind team A, they will wait five minutes before following in the attack” Lutherio explained.
“That sounds alright” Zack Agreed.
“Jace” Luke called, making Jace turn to him and stop caressing my back. “Yes?”
“What are you going to do?”
“I’m going to wait for some people here, as soon as they come we will join you in battle” Jace replied.
Luke looked at him for a moment then nodded “Alright”
Lutherio looked at the sky “Two hours before midnight”
“I’ll go talk to my pack and get them ready now” Zack said and left.
Lutherio and Luke stood up “We should do the same” and left.
“Who are you waiting for?” I asked.
“You’ll see” Was his answer.
“So I know them?” I asked.
“Kind off”
“Why you don’t want to tell me?”
“You’ll know soon enough”
“Why can’t it be now?” I asked annoyed.
“Impatient are we?”
“Just tell me” I growled.
“Nope”
“Fine!” I snarled. Wonder who they are.
“Promise me something” Jace said randomly.
I looked at him “Yeah?”
“Promise me that whatever happens, you won’t get yourself involved in the battle”
I looked at him in the eye “I don’t think I can promise that”
“Promise me” He growled.
I rolled my eyes “You know I will do it anyway”
“Think of the pups, they can’t lose their mom too”
“You aren’t dying” I snapped at him “So don’t talk like you are”
He sighed but said nothing about it “Just promise me.”
“Fine, I promise I won’t get myself involved” But I won’t promise I will let you die.
“Good.”
I sighed and stood up stretching. “I’m going inside”
“Alright, I’ll go too” Jace said and shifted to his wolf form, following me inside.
I laid next to the pups, pulling them closer while Jace laid behind me, pushing himself closer as possible.
We are a family and we will always be, no matter what.
