Austin, Texas
~Vanessa's Pov~
"Vanessa Alicia Gonzales! Don't you walk away from your father when he is talking to you!" My mother shouted from behind me as I furiously walked out of the kitchen and made my way into the living room.
I turn to face them,"I'm not going to do it! You can't make me!" I shouted angrily, crossing my arms.
"You live under our roof! You live by our rules!" My father shouted back in more anger, his vanes were basically 3D.
"You c-can't make me, papa, I'm only nineteen! I haven't even lived my life!" I said, tears filling my eyes.
"Honey, your mother and I are in our fifties. We're not getting any younger and you." He said more calmly, pointing his finger at me,"You are getting no where with getting married, you haven't even had your first boyfriend yet, and we." He paused again, gestering to both he and my mom,"We want to see our grandchildren graduate." He said with sterness in his voice.
"But!-"
"No buts! We're meeting them tomorrow and that's final!" He sad and with that he walked out of the room. I collapsed onto the couch. My mom came to me, wrapping her arms around me and holding me tight as I cried into her shoulder.
"M-mom, I can't get married! I'm nineteen." I sobbed
"You're almost twenty." She sighed,"And it's not like your marrying a complete stranger, you're marrying a Mancusco, Rudy Mancusco." She smiled.
I gasped,"Rudy Mancusco? You mean that kid that used to live a few blocks from us? Mom that's not cool!" I sighed
"I thought you used to have a crush on him?" She asked
I pulled away,"mom, that was years ago, I was six, he was nine." I sighed looking off to the distance crossing my arms,"Why is this happening to me?" I sobbed.
"We love you honey, we just want what's best for you." She said rubbing my arms then kissed my cheek,"I have to go shopping, we're having them over for dinner tomorrow." She said getting up and fixing her mascara. I didn't even notice that she was crying too,"I love you." She said grabbing her purse. I sighed,"I love you too." I hiccuped.
Even thought I was really mad at my parents for making me get married to a complete stranger, I still loved them no matter what. Once I heard the door close. I walked up to my room.
I opened my door to my bedroom. The walls were a simple sky blue, I had a queen sized bed which had five white pillows and neon pink covers. I have my own bathroom and a walk through closet with beautiful clothing. I have a desk where I did most of my writing and other projects and then a flat screen that was in the corner of my room. And a beautiful bay window over looking my neighborhood.
I live in Austin Texas, I have a brother who is fifteen, and live in a blue two story house with my mom and dad. My dad's a doctor and my mom's a lawyer. I'm a Latina, I love to dance and sing and I go to a nearby University. I also work at a Cafè most of the week. My parents pay for most of my expenses. My college and my living expenses.
Rudy Mancusco?
One summer, when I was about six years old, Rudy, his sister, and mother came to Texas for a vacation. we were younger and he and his mother had been friends previously before. We were really good friends but, we never kept in contact. He's probably forgotten all about me. He's world famous now for Vine and his music. He's pretty good looking and all, but I just don't know him.
I made my way to my bed and collapsed, breaking into soft sobs. I reached over my bed and grabbed my iPhone off of my small desk that was next to my bed and began texting my best friend. Ari Jacklyn.
