~Rudy Mancuso~
My eyes were blinded by the shades from my window. My eyes cringed from my banging head ache. Memories from last night came back to me. The drinking, the dancing, the bar fight. I sat up; rubbing my forehead in pain. I looked down at myself. I was still wearing my clothing I wore last night. Black jeans, a blue t-shirt and had socks on. I looked at the ground and found my shoes were kicked off.
I rolled out of bed and walked downstairs where I heard loud pans. My head stung as I walked over to the kitchen and found my mom. She quickly turned her head, making me jump a little,"Well, it's good to know you're finally up." She said angrily,"Why Rudy?"
"What happened?" I asked
"Well, you were obviously drunk, Justin, thankfully was there and drove you home after you got in that drunken fight!" She was steaming with anger at this point. she rubbed her temples,I starred down at the ground, feeling her angered gaze on me,"Rudy...you are going to be a husband, you can't just run off and get drunk whenever you want to, son-"
'Yes, husband, don't I get to have at least one night, one last celebration before I have to be forced into a marriage?-"
"Rudy you had me worried sick! you weren't home, you weren't answering your phone! you were so drunk when you came home, all bloody and..." she said, turning. there was a long pause of silence that filled the room when I tried to talk again,"but I-"
"No Rudy! i am done hearing your excuses, you are getting married."she said, slamming the cooking pan down, making a loud noise ring through out my head.I cringed, hearing the cracking vibrations.she exhaled a breathe she had held in for a while now. she gazed out the window, putting her elbows against the sink. she turned and glanced at me.
i looked at my mother, disappointment clear in her eyes. It's been a while since I've actually been for real drunk.she was surprised,so was I. when I got to the bar last night,I wasn't planing on getting drunk,I was going to just hang out with Justin and drink a few beers, but I guess things got a little too out of hand. I walked up to my mother, who's eyes were glued to the palm tree out side our window. there was a moment of silence before I said the two words that I really needed to say at this very moment,'I'm sorry."
she titled her face and looked at me,a side smile was clear on her face,I smiled back down at her. she stroked my cheek,"My little Rudy....getting married." I weakly smiled, staring down at the ground. she made breakfast for the both of us,Taylor was at friends house for the weekend, and after breakfast we had a flight to catch for Austin Texas to meet my bride to be.
~Vanessa's POV~
the view was breathe taking. the wind flowing through my thick locks of dark brunette hair. my phone buzzed.i took it out from my pajama pants pocket and saw that it was my mom. was currently at Ari's house. we were on the top of her roof sipping coffee.she was at the moment rambling on and on about her boyfriend, Dylan, not calling her back after the fifty messages she left him. her talking, suddenly stopped, when she saw that I was focused on my phone.
"Are you gonna answer it?" she asked me. i looked at her with an unsure look. i shrugged, shoving it back into my back pocket,'Sorry about that, um, so did Dylan ever text you back?"I asked as she quickly slurped down her sip of coffee she had and began rambling on and on about Dylan not texting her at all this entire weekend,"You can do so much better Ari, he's probably in another one of his, I need some space moods." I said making her laugh.
She took another sip of her coffee, staring down st the cup,"Ness, he's been acting pretty strange lately." She sighed in complete stress,"What if he's cheating?"
"No way Ari, you've been together for three years solid, there is no way on earth he is cheating on you." I said taking a sip of my coffee.
Her eyes adjusted up to mine,"You sure?" She asked sitting up in her criss crossed position.
