I had managed to sleep last night. It was light, and restless, but it was still sleep. I sighed, sitting up in the bunk and looking at the empty sheets next to me. Tony hadn't been sleeping in our bunk anymore; I demanded he either put me on the couch or all of the guys sleep out there.
I slowly slid my feet out from under the warmth of the sheets, and shivered as they touched the cold wood floor. I stuck my slippers on, then headed out to the living area. I giggled at the sight of them all; Mike was on one of the couches, his body spread out as his head hung over the side. Vic was on the couch across from that one, curled up in a ball and snuggled into the same blanket I had used a few weeks before. Tony and Jaime were on the floor; Tony's head resting on Jaime's stomach, Jaime sprawled out along the floor with one hand tangled in Tony's hair. I snuck towards Jaime and Tony, laying myself on Jaime's stomach as well. I giggled as I watched Tony sleep, a bit louder than I probably should have. He sprung awake, opening his eyes and smiling wide as he saw me. “Mari! You're out of bed!” he yelled, sitting up and wrapping his arms around me. His yells woke up the rest of the guys; Jaime leaped to his feet, Vic quickly sat up on the couch, and Mike slowly but surely woke up, being the deep sleeper he was. "You're out of bed! ...wait, why are you out of bed?" Tony asked, slowly pulling away as he finished his sentence. "I just want my life back to normal, and I can't get it that way if I just mope around and stay in bed all the time." I stated, a wide grin on my face as I directed my attention to Mike, who was still sitting on the couch. He tried to hide it, but I could just barely see a small smile spread across his face as I finished speaking. My eyes quickly moved back to Tony as he started to speak again. "Well that's great, Mari." He stated, standing up off the floor. "Does this mean I can sleep in the bed again?" he whined, stretching his back. I giggled, nodding my head. "What time is it?" Jaime yawned, waddling to the fridge and looking inside. "10:40." Mike stated, looking at his phone then quickly putting it in his pocket. I yawned, standing up off the floor and sitting on the couch, a few feet away from Mike. Tony, Vic and Jaime went into the bedroom to change, I was a girl so I couldn't change with them, and Mike was already dressed. Once they all came out, I quickly walked inside and changed into a baggy, plain white sweater, grey jeans and my Pierce the Veil Van's. I walked back out into the living room and watched as all the guys hurriedly tied their shoes. "We're gonna head down do catering." Tony stated once he finished tying his shoes. I nodded, then followed them all out the door once they finished tying their shoes. It took us about 5 minutes to get there, then we got in line.
"Hey babe." I heard a female voice say, followed by Mike saying the same back. I quickly turned around to where the rest of the guys were. "Who's she?" I asked, tilting my head as I pointed to her. "Oh, Maria, this is Katie... Mike's girlfriend. They started dating a few days ago." Vic stated. "Oh." I replied, putting my hand down as I watched the two of them kiss. "Where's the bathroom?" I asked, looking around. "Over there, in that brick building." Tony started. I quickly started walking towards it. "Wait, don't you want something?" he asked, yelling so I could hear him. "Just get me something." I replied, trying to keep myself together while I was in public. I walked to the bathroom, and quickly locked it as I walked inside. I immediately started bawling as I slid down the door. I was just starting to like Mike. Why did she have to come along? Why?
After about 10 or 15 minutes, I heard a knock on the door. "Maria? You okay?" Jaime called. "Um, yeah I'm... I'm fine." I stated. "You sure? You don't sound fine." he asked. "I, um... hang on." I replied, quickly standing up and grabbing onto some toilet paper. I wiped the tears off my face, then opened the door. I'm sure I still looked like shit, though. Jaime's face quickly turned into a worried expression. "Maria? What's wrong?" He asked, walking towards me as he shut and locked the door behind him. I wrapped my arms around him, burying my face in his chest as I started crying again. "I.. Mike... he... Katie.." I couldn't even manage to form a sentence. "What about them, Maria? What's wrong?" he whispered, pulling away from me just enough that he could see my face. His looked confused, but still worried. "I like Mike!" I screamed, wrapping my arms around him again. "M-Maria... don't worry. I'm sure him and Katie won't last long..." he reassured me, false confidence in his voice. I nodded, slowly letting go of him. After around 5 minutes, I had finally calmed down and followed him back to the line. The guys were just getting out of line. Damn, long line.
I went and sat with them at a table, then Tony quickly sat a plate in-front of me. I grabbed a fork and immediately started stuffing my face. I had barely eaten anything the past week, and I was fucking starving. "So, Maria..." Katie started. I quickly looked towards her, to see that she was looking at me. "Yeah?" I asked, trying to keep the pile of food in my mouth. "You're Tony's brother, right?" she asked, tilting her head as she asked. "sister, yes." I replied after I swallowed the huge was of food. "Oh, sorry. I can't tell the difference." she giggled. "Wow." I whispered as I shoved another piece of food in my mouth. I had short-ish hair, yes. But I mean, I wasn't all that boyish. Maybe she really is as dumb as she looks. "Aren't you gonna eat, babe?" Mike asked her. "No, no. I don't wanna get fat." she stated. I laughed, muffling it by another piece of food being shoved into my mouth. "what?" she asked. "Nothing, nothing." I replied. "Is it about my weight? Do you wish you were skinny like me, chubs?" she whined. "Katie!" Mike yelled, standing up. "What?!" she screamed, standing up as well. I threw my fork onto the table, shuffling away and back to the bus. I sat on the couch, pulling my knees to my chest as I started crying again. After about 10 minutes, I heard the door open. I looked to see Tony walking inside, a sad look on his face. I looked away, back to my knees as he sat next to me. "...you okay?" he asked, rubbing my back soothingly. "She's a bitch." I stated, grabbing onto another tissue and wiping the tears off my face. "I know." Tony replied. It was silent after that, until about 20 minutes later when the rest of the guys came back. I saw that Katie was with them. I quickly stood up off the couch, walking into the bunk room and slamming the door behind me. I sighed, sitting on my bunk as I looked down to my hands. I heard a knock on the door. "Maria?" Mike asked. "Go away!" I screamed, throwing my shoe at the door. "Please, Maria... let me in." he begged. I sat up off the bed, grabbing onto my shoe and putting it back on before opening the door and walking out. "You can go in there, but I'm not fucking staying!" I yelled, walking past all of the guys, and Katie, on the couch. "Maria!" Mike yelled, running towards me and grabbing onto my shoulder. "Go away! I fucking hate you!" I screamed, throwing his hand off my shoulder as I walked outside. "Maria..." he whispered. I turned my head around around as I walked out the door. He was still standing there, his hand had dropped to his side. His face looked sad, crushed, and disappointed all at the same time. I kept walking. I walked all the way into the crowd of people, then ran into a special someone as I was walking. "Hey Maria!" Austin stated, jumping as he saw me. "Oh, hey Austin.." I replied, forcing a smile on my face as I looked towards him. His smile quickly faded into a worried expression as he saw me. "Maria? What's wrong?" he asked, bending over so he was eye level with me. "Everything!" I yelled, turning around and walking a few feet away from him. "Why, Maria? What happened?" he asked, pulling me away from the crowd and behind a building. "God, where do I fucking start." I stated, pacing back and forth as I collected my thoughts. He sat down, leaning on the building. "Tell me everything." he stated. "First, I get fucking raped. I'm fucking terrified to go to sleep or even get out of my goddamned bed. Mike helps me through it, I thought he fucking cared about me. I started fucking liking him again. Then he goes and dating some fucking bleach-blonde whore whose done nothing but bully me since we met!" I broke down. I fell to the ground. I started crying again. Austin got up off the building, running towards me and wrapping his arms around me. "Maria, you'll be okay.. Everything will be okay." he stated. "No it won't!" I screeched, pushing him off of me as I stood up again. "I wanna fucking die!" I screamed, grabbing onto my hair and pulling it as I fell to my knees again. Austin didn't reply. He was shocked by my words. "Just... forget it. Forget you even fucking knew me. I'm sorry." I stated, standing up and walking away. I stopped as I saw someone leaning against the side of the building. My heart fucking dropped.
"...M-Mike? How... how long have you been there?" I asked, shaking my head as I stepped back. He walked towards me, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me as close as we could possibly be as he pressed his lips against mine. I wanted to pull away, but I couldn't... I didn't want to. I liked it. We stayed like that for a moment, until he got pushed off of me. I quickly opened my eyes and looked around. Mike was falling to the ground as he grabbed onto the side of his face. I turned my head the other direction. I saw Tony. He looked pissed.
Shit.
