Chapter 14 // Be My Lady

Lauren's POV

We arrived to our destination. I got out of my car and headed to open Camila's door. We got out and I grabbed her hand so we could walk to where everything was at.

There were lights leading a path in between many trees. She looked shocked but fascinated she followed until she found a table in the middle. Cliche, I know but she mentioned one time that she wanted to experience that sappy, romantic, movie story line.

"Do you like it?"

"Lauren, I love it. How did you know I wanted to see this for at least one in my life?" She says as she chuckles and looks at all the decorations and lights

"You mentioned it to me."

"I didn't think you were listening."

"Oh but I was Ms.Cabello, I always listen."

We sat and did small talk as we ate. We were almost done when my phone vibrated.

Dinah: We are ready when you are.

I sent a quick text that read ok and I stand up.

"Where are you going?" Camila asked confused.

"I'll be back."

That was all I said before I went to where Dinah and Normani were ready with a few props that were going to be used by me when I ask Camila my question. I pull the stool and my guitar and we walked back to where Camila was. I set the stool near the table and grabbed my guitar. Both Normani and Dinah were behind in a tree and they would come out when I'm done.

"So Camila you're looking at me weird right now but I wanted to ask you something. But before I do that I know you love throwback songs especially cheesy ones so I'm going to sing something for you."

I begin to strum my guitar.

"Camila you really caught my eye the first time I saw you, you seemed like a special person and I've learned that you're so... " That was a cue so Normani and Dinah would come out they came out from behind the large tree and held six balloons shaped as a heart that said 'Camila Will You Be My Lady?' And of course a bouquet of 12 roses with a box 4 cupcakes.

Camila had watery eyes as she read the balloons and saw everything else.

She ran up to me and gave me a tight hug. Then she kissed me for the first time ever and it lingered there for a while until she pulled away. She looks me in eyes while her hands are around my neck and says;

"I would love to be your lady. Oh and by the way your choice of song was really cute, I would have never expected that from you." She giggles and kisses me again.

I was lost in the kiss but I could clearly hear to people in the back yelling 'Camren' and I knew exactly who it was. Our best friends.
