Chapter 17 // Award Show ( Part. One)

Lauren's POV

Today there was an award show that I was told that I need to go to because I was nominated. I'm not big on award shows now because I'm not the same person that leaves with different girls for a one night stand. I have a girlfriend now and I can't do that.

I was getting ready for the red carpet I was just getting my hair and makeup fixed as soon as I was done we go in the van that was taking. Since Camila was going as well we decided to go separately and meet up there eventually.

We drove until we got there someone opened my door and me and Dinah came out. As soon as I started walking I hear people telling me to pose, take pictures, and what not and then I go to answer questions from the interviewers that really don't care about my life.

"Hey guys its Chelsea Briggs, and I'm here with the singer Lauren Jauregui. How are you today."

"I'm good thanks for asking, it's nice seeing you again you're one of my favorite interviewers."

"Thank you." She smiles and she continues to talk

"So today you're nominated for three awards, how does that feel?"

"It's really cool to see people actually listening to my music and making it able for me to be nominated in a show. I'm just overall grateful."

"Do you plan on winning?"

"I'm against really good people so we can just hope for the best." I say with a genuine smile.

"Well good luck. We have a few questions do you mind answering?"

"No, go ahead."

"You and the model who is also here today, Camila Cabello, posted a picture together where you confirm that Camren is real. How was the feedback?"

"Well I mean there is always going to be negative comments about what we do so I just get over it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Having a bad image at first and then getting with someone who is pretty great changes a lot of things but so far the feedback wasn't as terrible."

"Well I'm happy for both of you, Camren is real. So going back to music, when are you planning on releasing your other album and what is it called?"

"Really really soon. We are in the process of finishing it up we are fixing a few things and it should be out with in the next two weeks or so, but I will let you guys know. And about the name we decided to keep that a surprise till I announce the release date."

"Thank you so much for answering questions and talking a little bit to us, good luck on your nominations and good luck with your relationship. And thank you guys for watching."

"Bye guys." I wave at camera, I hug Chelsea and go to the next interviews which basically ask the same questions.

I spot my girlfriend and I walk to her she was standing next to Dinah and Normani talking. I hug her and the red carpet audience begin to scream.

"Hey Camz."

"Hey babe. How were your interviews?"

"Literally the same." I say as she laughs.

After a while we are pulled to take pictures together. I would say they got a shit load of good Camren pictures.

When the red carpet was over we went to the event where I was sitting next incredible and talented people.

Soon the show started and Camila had to get up and give an award. I was watching Selena perform and as soon as it was over I directed my attention to the two people coming out from behind the curtain, my beautiful girlfriend and Ariana Grande.

"I hope you're all having a good time with all this talent because I know I am. how about you Ariana?"

"It's pretty incredible, not as much as you though, you look incredible tonight." She says.

Ok what the hell is up with that female? She doesn't get to talk about my lady like that. I was somewhat jealous but Camila knows.

"Have you seen your self though?" They both laugh a long with the crowd.

If they are there any longer and doing what they are doing I'm going to go on stage and steal the award from who ever wins and beating them both with it.

"Without further talk these are the nominees for hit song." Everyone directed their eyes to the screen but I kept looking at them both.

Nominees: Dirty Work - Austin Mahone, Wildest Dreams - Taylor Swift, Sorry - Justin Bieber, Pillowtalk - Lauren Jauregui, Stitches - Shawn Mendes, One Call Away - Charlie Puth

I wasn't even putting attention to anything other than Camila I didn't even know the category or the nominees I know they announced it but I was being a guard dog.

"Ok Camila are you ready? And the winner for hit song is." Ariana says as she opens the envelope.

"My baby Lauren Jauregui with Pillowtalk."

I heard my name but I was confused since I was not putting attention until Dinah pulled me up to congratulate me that's when I finally understood.

I got up and people hugged me and congratulated me I made my way up the stage to hug Ariana a quick but tight hug that made her let out a groan. I hugged Camila as she gave me a quick kiss on the cheek they handed me the award and I went to the microphone.

"This is pretty great I was nominated against good songs and I say songs because in all honesty I don't like certain people in that category for private and personal reasons so I'm not going to stand up here and pretend that I like them all when I don't I just like the songs. Anyways I want to thank my team because well they make it happen, also my family which was really supportive and last but not least, Camila, who helps me be a better person and who makes me pretty happy. So I love you and I love you all as well thank you so much."

I walked off the stage with Camila and Ariana throughout the rest of the night we listened to music. I won the other two awards I was nominated for. Camila received one as well about modeling she was against Kendall Jenner, Cara, Gigi Hadid and Hailee Baldwin. She was surprised but it happened and I was a proud girlfriend.

Her speech was nicer than mine though I know for a fact she isn't too fond of Kendall and Gigi:

"It feels nerve wreaking being up here infront of incredible and talented people. I was not sure if I was going to win against those beautiful ladies but I did and I feel pretty successful. Everyone that is by my side at all times I want to thank yall because you guys got me here. As well to a special thanks to my girlfriend Lauren because without her waking me up by calling me every morning telling me that I need to go to a shoot I wouldn't be here, I love you baby. But I also I love everyone else helping me thank you, and good night."
