Brothers Sean and Norman are closer than close, have eachothers back on everything, Happily married Sean has it all, perfect home, perfect wife, perfect life, Sean is a soldier in the US Army and when he gets called to fight in Iraq he leaves behind...
Norman didnt like Claire's answer, but she truly didnt know. She loved Norman, but she loved Sean and even when they believed Sean to be dead she still loved him, Norman knew that too. With Sean back she didnt know to go back to her husband or to stay with Norman. By Claire's answer of "i dont know" Norman used this as his cue to leave slamming the door behind him. Claire phoned Lucy and told her what had happened, if she hadnt already seen the news report about Sean and the other troops coming home. "Sure i'll be right over" Lucy replied before disconnecting the call.
"This is some serious shit hun" Lucy let out a nervous laugh as Claire opened the door. Looking around for Sean and Norman she asked "where are they?" "Out" Claire bluntly replied her eyes were puffy from tears and her head was all over the place and her heart, well that just ached and she didnt know who for. Claire offered Lucy a seat in the living room and Claire threw herself down on the armchair "why..why does this have to happen to me?" She moaned "what do i do?" She added slapping herself in the forehead "tell me from start to finish whats gone down...so Sean is alive which is great news.. but obviously not for you and Norman as you have just started a new life" Lucy said pointing out the 'timeline' on her fingers at each problem. "The man was taken hostage and he comes home to find his wife with his brother. That is pure betrayal Luce" Claire said pissed off with herself. Picking up the wedding photo of her and Sean, Lucy smiled at it "you have to go back to him darling, he is your husband you have history" Lucy suggested "and believe me i want to go back to him and take off where we left off but now there is Norman and i do love him too but i dont know i think my love for Sean is stronger" Claire said questioning herself. "Sucks to be you girl, two guys and all" Lucy teased "i cant be the girl to come between them can i? I have to end it with both...and move on" Claire sighed saddened "its up to you but you have to do something soon or someone will get hurt" Lucy advised. Lucy left Claire on her own, she needed to think.
Claire must of fallen asleep as when she woke it was early morning, wincing at the clock in the living room she saw it was 5am. Norman hadnt come home, then she remembered why, frustrated she went to make herself a coffee, looking out the kitchen window she noticed a figure slumped on the front step. Cautiously she opened the door to see who or what it was. "Sean?" She asked confused, Sean turned around as the door swung open "oh hey, you are up early" he said dusting himself off "come in you must be freezing" she said motioning him to come inside "ill make you a coffee" she said walking to the kitchen. "Where did you end up last night?" Claire asked hoping it wouldnt become a fight "just the bar, sat outside here most of the night" Sean told her. "Guess i should take my stuff and move on" he added pointing upstairs. "I guess" Claire sighed ushering him to follow her upstairs.
Opening the attic Sean helped Claire up and she showed him his boxes "listen we can sell this place and take half each" Claire suggested folding her arms as Sean looked in the boxes "im..im ending it with Norman too..i cant do this to the pair of you" she added, saddened. "Claire if you love him, stay with him, all i want is for you to be happy. Thats the most important thing to me" Sean said unfolding her arms and holding her hand. His simple touch sent shivers down her spine. "I was happy..with you..and then you left me i didnt know you would come back and it would be a mistake" Claire crumbled and sobbed, Sean swiftly held her up and let her cry on him. "I know this is awful for you but im so torn i dont know what to do." She added. "I dont even know where Norman is. I cant handle this. How could they get it so wrong and turn our lives upside down like this!?" She shouted in frustration.

They sat in the attic for a while as Sean sifted through the stuff he would take with him and what he would come back for. "Where is my football jersey?" Sean asked double checking the boxes incase he missed it. Claire laughed "i have that in my room. I have that and your cologne in my bottom draw, Norman doesnt even know i have it there, i just wanted to keep it" Sean let out a small side of mouth smile "thats sweet kitten" he whispered. "How about i take this now and come back for the rest and ill be out of your and Norman's hair and we can sort out selling this place if you want?" Sean suggested. He seemed positive, considering what was unfolding he was being very sweet and considerate to Claire, although it made it ten times harder for Claire she wanted him to scream and shout at her make her feel the pain she had inside.
Picking up the box he headed out the attic and downstairs. Claire closed the attic up and followed him downstairs. "Here..take this" She called to him as he was about to open the door "the keys to your truck" she smiled "its in the garage" she motioned with her eyes. Sean smirked "you kept it?" He asked. Opening up the garage Claire removed the cover from the truck while Sean let out a small laugh "you hated this thing" he joked "got bruises up and down my back from it!" Claire moaned playfully nudging Sean "yea and we both know why" Sean replied winking at Claire. Handing him the keys she hugged him goodbye, she couldnt resist kissing him on the lips one last time. Soft and gentle. "See ya around kitten" he whispered as she reluctantly pulled away. "Make sure he looks after you" he added before setting off in the truck.
