She Came Between Them. (Norman Reedus & Sean Patrick Flanery)

Chapter Twelve

Claire watched Sean drive away, it pained her to see him do so but with everything the way it was she wasnt sure if it was for better or worse. Her head was in a spin. Norman still hadnt made contact with her and she didnt know where he was. This was a horrible situation for all involved.

"Please pick up..please pick up" Claire whispered to herself as she called Norman's phone. Nothing. Grabbing her car keys she headed to the one place she knew he would be, even before all this shit happened he would always go here if he was avoiding an old hook up or had something on his mind.

Pulling up outside Norman's garage she saw the shutters half down and his car outside. It was getting dark by now so she has to use her phone light to see in. "Norm..you in here?" She called out, there was no answer, approaching the front desk she peered into the waiting room and still nothing. She could hear faint sniffles and after leaning over the front desk she noticed Norman sitting with his knees up to his chest, crying. "Come here" she said with a sad sigh pulling him into her arms as she sat on the floor. "I dont want to lose you" he said through sobs. Claire began to cry too, "me neither"

They held eachother for a while, "come on lets go home" she said standing him pulling him up also, wiping tears from her face with her palm she wiped his face gently free from tears. "What about Sean?" He asked, Claire ignored him, she had no answer. "Claire..." He pressed her further. It was clear his heart was breaking in front of her "he left." She told him taking his hand but he yanked it away "we cant do this anymore can we?" He managed to get out before breaking down again. "We can, look, lets just go home and we can talk" Claire said trying to compose Norman. "Baby he is your husband. You have history. You made vows to eachother" he said. Claire knew he was right.

The drive home was filled with hand holding and sniffs, neither of them spoke. When they got home Norman packed some things and left, no amount of persuading from Claire could make him stay. Claire tried to pull him away from the door taking his bag from his hands "Claire dont. Dont make this any harder please" he pleaded. She pulled him into an intense passionate kiss, he ran his hands through her hair deepening the kiss, she had her hands gripped onto his back like she was holding on for dear life, the force of their passion meant Claire was backed up against the wall with Norman resting his hand on it. It was as if it would be the last time they would ever touch and tried to get every bit of eachother as possible. The sad truth hit them that it actually was.

It was a few days after Norman left, and Claire was finally pulling herself together, all the plans they had made for the future were done. Sean was coming over in an hour, Claire couldnt deny she wasnt excited to see him and pushed Norman to the back of her mind, she had to. Her and Sean had been speaking on the phone and texting a lot, it was like when they first met, not wanting to fall asleep so neither of them missed a text and waking up in the morning to another.

Dressing in black leggings and a jumper she tousled her hair and applied soft makeup, waiting for Sean to arrive. The sound of his car pulling onto the drive made her heart do flips. "Hey hey kitten" he grinned pulling her into a hug as she opened the door to greet him. "Did you bring your stuff?" Claire asked breaking from the hug, Sean looked down at the ground and then back up at her "i was thinking...there are a lot of memories here..lets start fresh" he suggested. "It will do us good" he added closing the door behind him. "I suppose" Claire sighed "kitten, i know how much you loved this place when we first got it but we will find a new place and you will love it. Promise" Sean explained "but now, a night in with you is all i need" he said tracing kisses from her lips to her neck making her giggle.

As they cuddled on the sofa watching trash on tv, Claire couldnt help raise her hand from his thigh up to his crotch, she could feel him shuffle to get comfortable as she stroked him from the outside of his pants. The sounds of his moans causing her stomach to somersault. Not being able to take no more Sean pushed Claire underneath him and hovered over her on the sofa as they kissed, pushing eachother tongues in to explore their mouths. Pulling her jumper over her head as Sean ripped his t shirt from his body they couldnt part lips much longer and soon their hands were all over eachothers body as they rolled off the sofa and onto the floor as it heated up. Relieving themselves of her leggings and his pants they couldnt wait to feel eachother, Claire desperately pulled Sean to her lips as he entered her causing each to moan with sheer pleasure as he moved inside her. With her arms over her head she gripped onto the rug beneath her as she clamped around Sean and moaned his name, as intense as it was she found herself nearly calling Norman's name.

Lying in bed that night on Sean's chest she couldnt shake the thought of Norman from her, why did she nearly call his name when she was with Sean? Felling immense guilt wave over her she got off Sean's chest and rolled onto her side of the bed. She may be with her husband who she truly loved and was glad to be back with but her heart and soul belonged to Norman .
