Wanna Make a Bet

It's not what looks like pt. 2

(Ariana's P.O.V)

All day Chris seemed to be acting strange, but like....well, just weirdly. Like he bumped into someone earlier in the hallway and he just went into a sympathy of apologies. I mean it's just a bump in the hallway, he just went all out of proportion. But I'm still mad at him for what he said on that voice recording. Why would he even trick me into thinking I lik-. I felt my body collide with a hard chest cutting my thoughts off. I looked up and saw Chris.

I rolled my eyes and just continued walking off, until he grabbed my arm again, but before I could speak he hid us behind a locker where it was very clear of kids then spoke.

"Look, I'm really really sorry for whatever I did, can we just please talk this out.." He said with his light blue hoodie and jeans and his snap back turnt back.

"So, you don't remember saying anything about just using me huh..." I said crossing my arms.

"What, no I would never say that..." He said trying to reach out for me until I backed away.

"Please, I'm really really sorry for whatever you heard.." He said, but one side of me was telling me to believe him....but the other side of me was telling me don't trust him.

"Okay, look.....maybe Demi faked your voice recordi-." I then got cut off by him smacking his lips then mumbling something under his breath.

"Yeah, she did make some shit up huh..." He said rolling his eyes angry then nodding his head slowly, but more angry at Demi.

"Look, we can move past that...just as long as you don't lie to me again." I said even though he hasn't really lied.

"Okay, I'm promise to never harm you in any way or lie to you, just full honesty." He said looking at me in the eyes...except I think something was off about him.

"Okay." I said hugging him as he hugged me back. I felt some what, a danger now that I'm around Chris...even though Chris would never do anything to hurt me....

(Chris's P.O.V)

Lies, lies, lies. That's all I told Ari. I know I should've but it was the only thing to do. I made that stupid ass bet with Demi, and now I can't get out of it. I hate what position I put myself into cause now Ari is in harms' way with her dad and it's all my fault. Now anything is possible to happen to Ari and what can I do now...just sit back and watch, cause I'm an idiot....I swear sometimes I wish my grandma was here with me. She would help me with what to do but I got my self into this mess I have to try to find a way to get out of it.

But as for right now I'm at Demi's house getting ready to go over this stupid ass plan she's made up. I took a deep breath and just thought of all the times since 5th grade up until now of how much I like Ari, but never in a million years would I imagine myself putting the love of my life in danger, but you never know what could happen.

(Demi's P.O.V)

As me and Chris sat down in my living room, I was trying to explain the plan to him but he would listen for like a couple of seconds then zone out and daydream. I rolled my eyes at his lack of attention, so I began to slowly rub his thigh. At first he blanked out then his eyes narrowed down to where my hand was and then slowly look up at me. But before I knew it he did something I never thought he would do........

(Ariana's P.O.V)

I was at my desk just waiting for the bell to ring. I was basically just doodling and creating small pictures that came to my head. I still don't think I can trust Chris, but I need a really good sign that tells me this so I know what to look out for. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

The bell rang and we all flooded out of the classroom scattering the hallways. I tighten the grip on my backpack a little tighter and tried to squeeze through the crowds of students. I pushed back my hair a little bit to get my bangs out of my face. I swear this school is just to damn big for kids to keeps trying to squeeze through the crowd. I wasn't really paying any attention to the people around me until I bumped into a couple. I looked up to apologize until I saw who it was...

"Oh, Hi Ari." Demi said while her arms wrapped around Chris. Since when did they become a couple.

Chris's face looked a little nervous, due to the look on his face, but what was he doing with Demi. But just when I thought it couldn't get any worse the bell rang and Demi spoke to Chris.

"See you later babe." She then kissed him on the lips, then smirked at me then walked off.

I looked at Chris who was already looking at me with a scared/nervous look on his face.

"I can expl-." I cut him off.

"Don't bother." I said with my eyes stinging as tears kept promising to fall down onto my face....

Very, very, very sorry it's short but ya know homeowork...
