Wanna Make a Bet

(Ariana's P.O.V)

As I was sitting down talking to my friends in the lunchroom we were just talking about things and the cheer leading competition coming up. I was super excited about it, I am the most popular girl in school and the hottest. Minus the fact that I don't have a boyfriend cause we just broke up, I've been single for a while but it's okay with me cause he was getting annoying. My thoughts were interrupted by one of my friends' Katy saying.

"Look, he's so stupid." She said pointing and laughing at the nerd Chris. You see Chris is a nerd who just gets good grades and goes to school then goes home. I don't think I've ever seen him around a girl before but then again I don't think I've ever seen him around anyone. He's tall though, that's for sure. He has brown hair and brown eyes, he's light-skinned and has some tattoos here and there. But I guess he tries to cover them up, he wears jeans all the time and nikes. He's so fucking rich but he doesn't go around bragging about it. I only know he's rich because I saw him driving around my neighborhood one day and he lives down the block from me. He doesn't talk much to me but I mean I am popular and that would ruin both our reputations.

But right now everyone in the lunchroom was laughing because he accidentally spilled his lunch everywhere. Everyone was laughing including me. I mean it was pretty funny, but then Chris got up and just ran out of the lunchroom. The laughing sorta calmed down but I felt a little bad. But it was none of my concern so why bother.

"You know what would be funny." My other friend Demi said.

"No what." I said taking a sip from my mountain dew drink.

"What if you and Chris went out." As soon as those words escaped Demi's lips I choked on my drink.

"What." I said trying to process her words.

"Come on, it probably won't be that bad." She said making my eyes widen.

"Umm no thank you....what do I look Like dating a nerd." I said.

"Come on just for a few days." Katy said agreeing with Demi.

"NO." I said with a slight chuckle.

"Just do it for one week." Demi said. I gave her the look of "are you kidding me".

"Who the hell came up with that rule." I asked.

"I did, now you have to start this week, and since it's a Monday you get a good start." Demi said, and Katy just started smiling.

"Ugh......I don't even know why I deal with you 2, OKAY FINE I'll do it." I said.

They both shrieked and smiled.

"Yay, you 2 will make a good couple any way." Katy said.

"Yeah, whatever.....but what do I get out of this." I said.

"Hmmm, you get 1,000." Katy said. I just shook my head no. Then Demi spoke.

"Fine 1,000 grand from each of us." Demi said. That sounds better.

"Deal." I said accepting it.

Once lunch was over I was sitting in math class which I just so happens to share with Chris. He sits next to me on the left. I thought why not try to get a good look at him since I'm gonna be going out with him soon, but only for a week, but still, I had a reputation to uphold. As I looked the left of me I saw Chris taking and writing down notes as the teacher was talking, but I just kept looking at him. He had deep chocolate brown eyes that will hypnotize you with one look, and freckles that danced crossed his face that were set right about a big pink plump pair of lips. I never really took the time to check out Chris, but he was actually kinda of......um cute I guess.

"Rriiiiiinnng." As the bell rang the class got up and along with Chris they each began to walk, but like the bet I made. It was for one week and starting today I had to get to know Chris, so I caught up to him and caught him in the hallway and tapped his shoulder.

"Hi." I said nicely. He looked around at first then spoke.

"Umm h-hi." He said shyly.

"I was wondering if you could maybe come over tonight and help me with moving some stuff in my room around." I said and since he lived down the street he had no excuse to not come.

"Um, are you sure you want me to help you." He said gripping tighter on his backpack. I just giggled.

"Yes, plus you live right down the street from me." I said hoping he would give in.

"Ummm o-okay what time do you want me to be there." He asked.

"6:30 sounds fine." I said. He just shook his head and said.

"Y-y-yeah that's good, well um I'll see you later t-then." And with that he took off. I hope this bet goes right.....

(Chris's P.O.V)

I was at home doing my homework before I had to go to Ariana's house. I was beyond excited, I had a crush on her since 5th grade and were now Juniors. She'd never really payed any attention to me until now, but I really didn't mind cause I finally get to be with her. I've been waiting on this moment since 5th grade. And finally it came, but me being the shy nerd that I am I'm gonna end up screwing it up.

I was watching T.V. when my phone buzzed, it was my alarm letting me know it was 6:25. I wanted to leave 5 minutes before time so I won't be late. That would be a bad first impression for me. Although I know she would never go out with a guy like me but I hope one day she will.......
