"Alexis!" Sofia shouted.

"Yes?"

"I'm hungry! When shall the food be ready!? Be faster!" Sofia shouted with attitude.

"Almost done, I'm readying the food now." She said positively.

Alexis always has a positive attitude, she stays happy all the time, her anger rises rarely, she doesn't mind even if her step sisters and mother are very cruel.

She set the food on the 3 seater table.

"Foods ready!" She says smiling.

"Finally, your done!" Maria shouted.

"I-I'm sorry." She says then sits down on the nearest seat.

Her stepmother comes to the table. "Alexis where is my seat?"

"Um, oh! Take my seat, I'll eat in my room instead, mothe- I mean Senyora Lucia." She says looking down.

"Ew, what's on your face?!" Maria mocks her laughing.

"It's cinder!!" Sofia shouts laughing.

"Ew how pathetic!" Lucia shouts.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't cleaned my face after cooking, sorry."

"Your just too pathetic, ewww! I know! Let's give her a name!" Sofia says cruel.

"Cinder plus Alexis, Cinderis!!" Maria shouts.

"Good name Maria! Now, Cinderis, who said your eating? Your gonna do all the chores, you'll eat at night when all chores are done, now get out." Lucia says.

Alexis just nods and goes to her room.

"Mother, Father, I miss you." She says crying while looking at her parents picture she kept.

She continues to remember all memories she had with them, together in the woods, the beach shore nearby, and all places they went together.

After a really short rest, she goes out and starts cleaning the house. It's really difficult since her stepmother and stepsisters keep giving her orders.

"Clean my room!"

"Clean the dishes!"

"Wash the clothes!"

"Clean everything!"

After all the work she finally got finished. Non stop work since morning, now it's almost night.

"Hey Cinderis!" Maria shouts.

"Sorry, yes?" She stands up from her chair.

"Mother said, cook dinner, wash dishes, annnnd, clean and iron these dresses."

"Oh, very well, I'll start now." She says even if she's really tired. It's like her soul is drained out.

She starts cooking dinner then sets it on the table once she's done.

"Ok, you may eat now." Lucia says.

"Thanh you Senyora Lucia." Alexis says smiling.

"Not now, after all the chores, eat the leftovers." Then they all laugh, except for Alexis.

"Oh, very well, I'll continue the chores." She nods and walks out.

She does all the chores, even though she feels like dying cause she's super tired.

"Finally all the work is done, I can finally eat." She humbly says after looking at what she did.

She goes to the kitchen washes the dishes and eats her food, more like leftovers and some other food.

As she finishes she goes back to her bedroom, in the attic then prepares for bed.

Before sleeping she takes out her box and gets a picture of her and her family,maher real mother and father were there.

"Mother, I promise to always remember the words you told me, I love you and I miss you, I miss you both." She says then wipes the tears that managed to fall.
