The flea catched a cold (a Shizaya story)

What is wrong with me?

Hi there, here is the second part of this story and I hope you'll enjoy it XD

ShizuoPOV

Two and a half hour after I called Shinra he arrived at my house. To my surprise Celty wasn't with him, and that meant that he wouldn't take the flea with him.  As soon as he entered he ask the question I couldn't even answer myself.

„So Shizuo, why is Izaya sick and on top of this at your place? I mean it is not rare for him to catch a cold or even getting a fever due to some of the injuries he gets by fighting with you. But this is a first." Wait what did he just say, when did I ever injure this flea seriously enough to get a fever and why isn't it also surprising for Shinra to see this damn flea like this? Wait! Does this mean, that he knows sides of him I don't? As Shinra stared at me I realised what I was thinking and tried to answer. „It just happend, that I took him here." Shinra looked at me, as he continued talking. „Is that so, I don't know all the circumstances, but in case, that Izaya collapsed in front of you the percentage, that you would kill him the instant you saw him is nearly 100%, so the question is how did he end up here?" I didn't know what to answer but I knew he was right, I acted completly strange. Because of my silence Shinra switched the topic as he continued. „Ok, so where is he? A fever can turn out really badly especially if it is really as high as you told me on the phone." as he said that I nodded and took him to my bedroom. The flea was still sleeping and he was sweating a lot due to this looked really bad. Shinra measured his fever and took his pulse and heard his lungs. The fleas temperature was 40.3 degrees, so it would get dangerous if it would rise even more (even I knew this much). „So Shizuo you where right his fever is really high and he caught a really bad cold. It'll take some time for him to recover completely this time, so maybe you should take some days off. I'll give him an infusion and as soon as he wakes up you have to make sure, that he stays hydrated, oh yeah right I'll also leave some medicine here. I warn you he hates to take them, so it might be better to put them in his food or drinks, don't worry you can take of the capsules." while Shira said all this he already made his way to the frontdoor and as fast as he ended his last sentence he closed the door behind his back.

Wait, was Shinra serious, was I the one who had to take care of this flea now? After I brought the medicine in the kitchen, I went to my bedroom to watch after the flea and to my big surprise he was awake.

IzayaPOV

Hot it's so damn hot. I moved around and felt a slight pain when I moved my left arm, as I opened my eyes I saw that someone gave me an infusion and most certainly it was Shinra. But when I looked around the room I noticed, that I wasn't at Shinras place, so where am I? The room was quite clean and the only thing that wasn't fitting, was the open door of the wardrobe, but I saw a lot of barkeeper uniforms. And that definitely meant that I was at Shizu-chans house. WHAT?! But as I thought that he entered the room and stared with a surpriesed look at my face. To be honest I was kinda confused when I started to talk. „Shizu-chan I don't know how I ended up here, so don't be to mad." as I said that I stood up and pulled the infusion out (thankfully I haven't done that the first time). On my way to the door of the room I continued to talk, because he just observed me silently and on top of this his expression was completly calm, which kinda creeped me out. „So ehm I'm leaving then, see you Shiz..." but this instant I felt a bit dizzy again and as I prepared myself, to collide with the ground again, a strong arm stopped my way down. „You are a really stupid flea!"Shizu-chan sounded really serious and in the next moment he lifted me up and put me back in his bed. „Wh-what are you doing Shizu-chan?"

„Don't ask you would lie on the ground right now if I wouldn't have stopped your fall, so be thankfull." What is up with him? That's not even the point and also what exactly happend after I collapsed on this damn roof in Ikebukuro? „Shizu-chan that's not what I meant. I'm asking, why you aren't throwing things after me or try to kill me instead of taking care of me?" As soon as I said that his expression got really dark and in the next moment he grabbed one of my arms and rushed with me to the front door, after he shoved me out he said, that if I don't like it I should go home on my own. As I said that I would like to get my clothes back he threw them at me and closed the door. I didn't knew what was going on in his head, but I really didn't care in this moment, because my headache just got worse with each passing second, so I tried to get home.

ShizuoPOV

Haaaa I knew it! Why did i try to help in the first place? He would just try to piss me off. As I thought about it I noticed, that the flea just asked the same question as Shinra, which pissed me off even more, because there wasn't a really reason to get so mad dammit. And as I thought about the situation I realised, that the clothes of the flea were kinda thin for this season and I also doubted the fact, that he would make it home by himself, so what should I do know? I just thought that it might be good to ask in the DOLLARS chat if someone saw Izaya today, but no one did, so I started to get a bit worried and I swear to god, that I didn't knew why.

IzayaPOV

As I left the house Shizu-chan lived in I started to take some side streets to get home faster and to see as few people as possible. But due to my fever I wasn't as fast as Iwould've liked to be. And as I moved around a corner, I bumped into something big, but someone catched me before I could fall (again...this really is not my day, I started to get the feeling, that I was really weak right know and I hated it). „Hey Izaya, what are you doing here? Wait are you all right you look sick." I immediatly realised who stood in front of me, It was Dotachin and due to this I was kinda relived, because he is one of the few persons, I trusted. „Uhm yeah theoretically I'm on my way home right know, but due to my physical condition it isn't going to well." Dotachin put his hand on my forehead, right after this he turned around and gave me a piggy back ride to his van and thankfully the gang wasn't around. „Izaya wait here for a moment, after I finish my business here I'll drive you home, it won't take longer than 10 minutes" I started to feel tired again and just nodded to answer him, but he understood.

3POV

As Kadota left Izaya alone in the van, an unknown DOLLARS member saw Izaya and remembered, that a few minutes ago someone in the chat asked, if someone saw Izaya, so he wrote the location and that Izaya was with Kadota.

ShizuoPOV

As soon as I got a message I took my phone. Someone wrote in the chat, that he saw Izaya with Kadota and as soon as I read the message I went out of my apartment to get this damn flea back.

The place, that was written in the message, wasn't so far away, so I got there pretty fast. And I was kinda relived, when I saw Kadotas van, I went there opened the door and wanted to take the sleeping flea out, as a voice from behind stopped me. „Shizuo, I know you don't like him, but let him be for today, he has a really high fever, so go away." Kadotas voice was really serious,so I answered faster than I could think „I know that Kadota, because I'm the one who is taking care of him, so I'll just take him back with me."

IzayaPOV

I heard voices in front of me and realised, that I just fell asleep again and as I opened my eyes I saw Shizu-chan and Dotachin. They argued and I thought about interfering, till Dotachin said something interesting. „Okay Shizuo, you can take him with you, when you tell me the real reason why you want to take care of him so badly." Shizu-chan was silent for awhile, but in the end he gave an answer. „I ... Uhm It is because I just can't leave him alone like this and even through we know each other for so long that's the first time I saw him like this. And I was also a bit angry, when I found out, that Shinra already knew this side of him. So those are the reasons I guess." As I heard that I felt slightly embarrased and was thankfull for the fever, because no one would notice, that my cheeks turned red. But why was Shizu-chan saying stuff like this I mean ... I couldn't think clearly and then Dotachin answered to Shizu-chans statement. "Fine if those are the reasons then take him with you, but just under the condition, that you'll take GOOD CARE of him. He is more fragile than you might think." As they came to this agreement, I acted like I was sleeping and Shizu-chan took me out of the van and brought me pack to his house (because of my cold I really fell asleep on the way).
