The tan man grinned when he saw Artemis, Julia, and I walk out of the house. "Hey, Sis!! Long time, no see!" he exclaims loudly. The goddess rolls her eyes, "Hello, Brother." Practically jumping out of his chariot, the man comes to greet Julia and I. "Hello, Belle. Hello, Julia. I am Apollo and I'll be escorting you to your destination today." The both of us give a little giggle to that.
He welcomes us onto the chariot. As we board onto it, the four horses, all seeming to have manes of pure gold, neigh loudly. We're set off into the air as the god yells for his horses to fly. Apollo asks us, "So are you guys excited to go to Camp Half Blood?" What kind of camp is this going to be? "Excuse me, but what do you mean by 'half blood?'" Julia asks. Apollo nearly stops the whole chariot at this statement. "Wait Sis, you never told them about Camp Half Blood?" Apollo whispers loudly to his sister. She shrugs, whispering something ineligible in his ear. Apollo nods. "Well kids, lesson time, as you probably know by now, the Greek mythology is real. What you probably don't know, it that the Greek gods and goddess, well most, have had children with mortals. Those children are called "demigods" and they possess qualities of their Greek parents, yet do not have immortality as they do. When they come to a certain age, the demigods' "scent" becomes more prominent to monsters, which is why Camp Half Blood was made! It's protected by the Golden Fleece to ward of all monsters."
By the end of his explanation, I'm in disbelief. My whole life is at risk?! What even is this camp like? I look up to the god driving the chariot. "So what you mean, is that are lives are constantly in danger because some gods and goddesses decided to have affairs with regular people on Earth?" I say with a bitter tone. His smile is taken a bit down by this. "It sounds bad, but these children who are born tend to become the greatest heroes on the Earth. They've proved themselves in many moments and all have risked their lives to protect each other and the humanity, but trust me you'll love Camp Half Blood," Apollo retorts, "besides its going to be your new home, you should learn to enjoy it a -"
The god is interrupted as Julia shouts "Watch where you're driving! We're gonna hit some kids!!" Apollo then is realizes the volleyball game we're about to crash into. He tries to avoid hitting avoiding, but ends up making us be face to face with a volleyball net. "Well, Belle. Well, Julia. I should really be going! Enjoy Camp Half Blood!"
