Chapter 7 - Finding the key
'We need to get in here!' Ariana said.
'Right i'm busting in here!' Caitlen said running towards the big metal door.
'Caitlen NO, your gonna get hur..!' She got stopped mid sentence.
'Owww! Ari! My leg!' Caitlen yelled crying in pain.
'Are you okay?! You really shouldnt have done that..' Ariana said.
Caitlen just nodded as she was in too much pain to speak. Ariana pulled her red velvet scarf off her neck and gently wrapped it around Caitlens leg.
Caitlen slowly got up and started to hobble around following Ariana.
'Mrs Roberts?' Ariana heard from a faint distance. 'Is that you?' The voice said again.
'Did you hear that?' Ariana said getting creaped out.
'No what did you hear? Caitlen said.
Ariana slowly walked towards the shadow in the corner.
'Ari! Dont leave me!' Caitlen said limpering behind.
Walking closer to the voice Ariana heard in the distance, she saw a young indian boy sitting with a basket of bread.
'Ooooh bread!' Caitlen said.
'Caitlen, not the time' Ariana sighed.
'Bread, key' He said pointing to the door.
'What?' Caitlen whispered to Ariana.
Ariana started to walk closer to him 'We dont need you bread little boy, but could you help us find the key to that big metal door?'
'Key!' he yelled pointing to the ledge above the big metal door.
'Thankyou' Ariana said.
She walked up to the door and jumped to get the key, she wasnt tall enough! Caitlen would definately not be able to since she was a lot smaller than Ariana.
'We need somethng long just so I can use it to push the key off the ledge' Ariana started to think.
'Bread' The boy said.
'Yes, may I use one?' Ariana said asking kindly.
The little indian boy grabbed one of his loafs of bread and handed it to Ariana.
'Thankyou' Ariana said.
The boy walked closer to Caitlen.
'Foot!' he said.
'Yes.. I um.. I ran into a door' Caitlen said looking embarrassed.
The boy laughed.
While Ariana was trying to get the key, Caitlen and this boy were playing games to pass the time, after a while the girls got used to being covered in this slush, and although they missed their parents they stayed strong, and positive.
'Yes got it' Ariana said holding the blue key.
She got the key and out it in the slot.
'Are you ready?' Ariana said.
'Im ready' Caitlen said.
Ariana turned the key and opened the door
