Chapter 8 - Unlocking the Dungeon

Unlocking the big metal door inside looked like a little prison, it had seven little compartments each with one child locked inside. It was dark and cold, and there were spider webs in every corner.

'These must be the children that were captured by Mrs Roberts' Caitlen said with her mouth wide open.

'Mrs Roberts we need food' a little boy in a cell said. 'were starving!'

Ariana walked closer to the cell 'Little boy whats your name' she whispered.

'Kevin' he said. 'My name is Kevin' please help us, Mrs Roberts..she..she got us'

Caitlen walked down all the cells looking at all the little girls and boys, sitting there, shivering.

'Kevin, where are the keys to get you out?' Ariana said trying to stay calm.

'The Buckets' Kevin pointed to seven buckets that were hanging on the wall. Each bucket had a number taped to it. Caitlen pulled a red bucket off the wall that had the number six on it. Cockroaches crawled out from every angle.

'Ahhhhhh!' Caitlen shreiked dropping the bucket. Ariana was shivering, and taking deep breaths.

'Tell us more Kevin, how do we get the keys?' Ariana said holding onto the cold metal bars.

'Each bucket contains something horrible, from needle, to red-back spiders, the numbers on the buckets match up to the numbers on the cells, the key is at the very bottom of the bucket, if your that keen to get us all out you have to stick your hand in and get the key out from the bottom, but not only you save us, you save the town and all parents! Two days ago the town was blacked out by Mrs Roberts, and all the parents!' Kevin said hoping the girls would save them.

'No! No! No!' We are not, no!' Caitlen said walking up from behind.

'We have to do this! I need my mum! and you need yours too!' Ariana said panicking. 'Well, kevin lets start with your cell, your number three'

Ariana pulled the bucket off the wall expecting something disgusting to crawl out. No it was nothing alive, it was exactly what Kevin said, pins, thousands of them just piled on top of each other. Ariana held her breath and stuck her hand in, feeling all the little excruciatingly painful devils pearce through her skin.

'Oww!' Ariana shreiked.

'Do this for your parents Ari!' Caitlen said.

Ariana could feel the key, slowly pulling it up Kevin was watching her hoping she would make it. She did it, the key was on the floor.

'Give me my scarf, I need it!' Ariana yelled crying in pain.

Caitlen quickly unwrapped the scarf from her leg and put it in Arianas hand. She wrapped it around her hand that was gushing out with blood everywhere. Caitlen quickly grabbed the key and unlocked Kevins cell. He started to hug her.
