Priceless
I was never clingy with boys. I find it embarrassing every time I see girls cling to their boyfriends or even my girl friends who comfortably hugged our guy friends. It's not that I wasn't used to it. Okay, scratch that. I wasn't used to being too mushy with boys. It's as if they can read my thoughts and feelings just by hugging me.
"Oi," Finally, Yu Gyeom spoke as he poked my head with his left hand while his right hand still resting and wrapped around my waist. "Did you just lose your way back again, Pres?" He added as he let out a chuckle.
I did not dare move. I was too embarrassed to answer him and it's so not okay to look at him with a flushed red face. I swear he'll tease me for eternity if he sees my face.
"Pres, you alright?" Yu Gyeom asked, this time with concern wrapped around his words. "Jinja, I told you I'll come with you so—" He scowled as he forcefully let me look at him by grabbing my face with both his hands.
"A-are you crying?" I was trying to remove my gaze off him but his face was too distracting to look away.
Was he blushing?
Then it hit me. "Yah! Yu Gyeom, you stupid!" I exclaimed as I now punched him hard on his chest. I still feel my face heats up because of embarrassment. "You should have insisted more! I've been walking around at this area three times you, dimwit!"
To my surprise, Yu Gyeom, the airhead let out a soft laugh as he tried to hold my hands to stop from punching him.
"Sorry, Anne." Yu Gyeom said half sincere and the other half- laughing. "Note to self: Never let Anne wanders by herself. You will never see her again if that happens." He said as if listing it in his imaginary notepad. I was about to protest with his undoubtedly comfortable act of putting his left hand on my shoulders as he leaned closer to my face with the infamous Yu Gyeom smile when the man behind us finally spoke and I actually thought my heart crawled up my lungs.
"You two seems to be really close." Yu Gyeom doesn't seem to notice his hyung until he spoke. He immediately removed his hand on me and turned to him with a surprise look.
"Mark-hyung!" he said lively and Mark seemed to make a way to plaster a smile on his face. I wasn't so sure if it was for Yu Gyeom or for me. "How long have you been here?" Yu Gyeom asked with a shy smile as he scratched the back of his head.
"Oh. I just got off the elevator." He said as he placed an arm around Yu Gyeom's shoulders. "Happy birthday, brother."
LIAR. That's what I wanted to shout at him because he was standing there the whole time! Why does he have to lie at him?
"Thanks, hyung!" he answered happily as if his real brother greeted him. "Where are the others? Jaebum-hyung? Bambam-ssi?" He asked.
"Jaebum's waiting for Athena, still upstairs. Bambam is already at the hall." Mark replied but he's staring straight at me. "Aren't you going to introduce me to her?" He said with a look that somewhat pissed me off.
"Ah!" Yu Gyeom turned to my side as he put on a wide smile. "I'm pretty sure you already know her."
That let my sense go numb. How did Yu Gyeom knew what happened yesterday? Did Mark tell him? Damn, his wide smile really gave me the creeps. Every time Yu Gyeom does that, I swear nothing turns out well afterwards. Yes, that's proven and experienced by yours truly.
I was ready to apologize and tell how sorry I was about yesterday but Yu Gyeom cut my thoughts off.
"She's the Devil Woman I am telling you guys since I started school." Yu Gyeom said proudly while he pointed me as if I am some kind of trophy to be brag about.
