Miserable at Best
"Yu Gyeom is what?" I was at the student council room, and I was talking to Atasha thru the phone.
"He's got a flu." Atasha answered with a 'don't-try-your-luck-to-use-him-today' tone.
"What's with your tone?" I asked as I started to fix my things. "I can't use him today, I will be off early." I answered defensively as I made my way out of the room.
"At least not for today." She replied and that made me let out a soft laugh.
"Guilty."
"Anyway, the others made Yu Gyeom notes of today's lectures." She said as I stopped walking. "Can you please get those inside my locker?" She asked hesitantly or more like shyly at me. 'You know the passcode, right?"
"Ne. I'm on it." I answered and turned to go to the locker area. "What am I supposed to do after getting the stuff?"
"Bring it to him."
"I'm sorry? Yah, Atasha! You're the one who's nearer to his place, why would I do the bringing?" I growled and I got a sigh for an answer- a deep one.
"Please, Pres. For me?" she sounded so lonely that I felt so guilty complaining earlier.
"Hey, what happened?"
"It's noth—"
"Araso, araso." I cut her off. "We'll talk about that once I gave the notes to that airhead." I tried to sound as laid back as I can for her not to feel sorry for what she's feeling right now. "Or whenever you're ready to talk about that."
"Thank you, Pres."
"Sure. In fact, it's the only thing I can do for Gyeom." Once the call ended, I searched his name at my contacts and clicked the call sign. "Jeez, why aren't he answering his phone?"
Before I knew it, I was already at the entrance of JYPE still trying to call Yu Gyeom, but I've run out of luck and load and he still would not answer. Guess I just need to ask the security guard to give this notebook to Yu Gyeom.
Well, praying that the security guard would believe me that I am one of Yu Gyeom's friends.
"Excuse me, sir. I am one of Yu Gyeom's friends. The boy in a group called GOT7 (okay that was too stupid) I would just like to—"
"Alannise!" Then a chill came running down my spine. "Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked as he planted a smile that literally made my day great in an instant.
"Hey, Jackson!" I greeted trying not to sound so girly. "I just wanted to give this notebook to Yu Gyeom. I'll be leaving no—"
"Jinja, come inside!" He commanded as he took my right hand and I can feel my heart jumping as if trying to let out of my chest.
I managed to bow to the security guard before entering the place. Jackson was just as clingy as Yu Gyeom. I wonder if all the GOT7 members were clingy as well.
"Jackson!"
Well, he's an exemption. He always gives me the cold and upset expression. I mean, yes we talked once and he laughed basically because of my epic facial expressions. But after Jackson came and saw me crying during Yu Gyeom's birthday, he hadn't talk to me since then. (As if I am seeing him everyday.)
"Jaebum's looking for you." Mark added coldly. "You're late for the practice. Go upstairs already." He mentioned and looked at me as if I was the reason Jackson was late.
"I know, I know." He retorted and mouthed 'sorry' at me before running towards the elevator.
BUT HE FORGOT THE NOTEBOOK.
Well, Mark was still shooting daggers at me.
"Here," As I turned my head down. "I'm sorry for causing you guys a lot of trouble. I'm just here to give this notebook to Yu Gyeom."
"I never said you are a trouble." He said plainly.
"But you're acting as if I am one." I protested inside my head.
"You really think that?" He asked and that made me want to vaporize to avoid embarrassment. Dang, I actually said that out loud!
"Please, just give this to Yu Gyeom." I immediately changed the subject and handed him the notebook which he took instantly. "That was today's lectures. Our friends decided to jot down notes for him because we will be having exams by next week." I explained and to my surprise, he just stared at me but this time, his eyes were full of longingness. It seemed like he wasn't really staring at me, he was remembering something- something so important.
"So, yeah." I broke the silence and decided to leave. "I'll be going now." I was already walking to the other side when he suddenly speak.
"I really didn't mean to look at you as if you are a trouble." He said and that's enough for me to stop. "Could you stay a little longer. I'll call Gyeom to be—"
"I have class tomorrow, I can't." I immediately answered still not looking back at him.
"You really don't want me being at the same place with you, do you?" He blurted and that's the cue for me to look back at him.
His eyes were as cold as ice and his smile even colder.
"What?"
"It's Saturday tomorrow. Unless you have cram school."
