You don't want to give up
It's not that you don't care
It's that everyone else has abandoned
The ship stuck in a snare. They left without thought
Of what it might bring
Tears and sleepless nights
The bird that never shall sing. You seem like a fault
With cracks in between
Where new energy cannot grow
But withers unseen.You've given up
It's too much to bear alone
Everyone has left
You do not have a place to call home. But as long as the light shines
In your wakeful nights
It can be rekindled
And become a torch, alight. You are merely a candle
In the vast universe
But you are meant to be a star, honey
And I know this sounds terse.Among the collection of unique,
You sprung forth
Now let out your talent
And show the abandoners your worth.Just remember
Positive outlooks are key
They don't come willingly,
But in the end, you will be free.

PoesiaRandom poems that I am spitting out. I need a place to put these, so please criticize them. I am hoping to turn these into song lyrics one day. Might have some parodies in here...
