Today I talked to mom and dad about what had happened at the party. Mainly about the thing I saw...(Mom): honey...should we talk to ginger's parents for you? If it's upsetting you I have no trouble giving them a piece of my mind! (Dad): your mother's right, no daughter of mine is gonna get bullied by that snobby brat. I shook my head dismissively. (Anya): it's fine, really guys. Just...can I have a few days off, just clear my mind a little? Dad nodded sympathetically, but as mom paused and glaced over me I knew she knew something was wrong. (Dad): I'll go make some cocoa, Anya. He gave me a kiss on the head and nodded at my mom.

(Mom): it's about your real father, isn't it? I froze up, and the words from last night echoed in my brain. "Your a fucking FREAK! People like you will NEVER matter!" Mom gave me a big hug and I buried myself in her shoulder as the tears refused to stop. Its not my fault! It's not my fault. Dad brought me a cup of cocoa and cuddled up with mom and I. We talked about homeschooling and if it was okay if I could go tomorrow to register out. (Mom): Anya your father and I love you VERY much. Dad nodded and I laughed a little. (Dad): I know this is a bit different because I'm your stepfather, but I want us to be a family. You know, you did remind me of someone else. I just can't put my finger on it for the life of me!

There was a knock on the door, and I jumped. Mom glared at the door before her and dad walked over and opened it. I couldn't believe my eyes. That guy from last night!? But mom and dad don't know that! Oh boy... (?): Good evening, Mr and Mrs Peterson I --! (Mom): YOU HAVE SOME NERVE BOTHERING MY DAUGHTER! SHE WILL NOT BE FORCED TO CARRY ON HER FATHER'S SINS! (Dad): YOU HAVE TWO POINT FIVE SECONDS TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU'RE HERE BEFORE I GET MY BAT AND--! I shimmied through the angry wrath of my parents and nervously smiled at him. He was either very amused or very nervous that the only natural response would be to laugh.

(Mom): what are you doing, wasn't he one of those kids who screwed with you!? I shook my head frantically as dad walked a little closer to the stranger. (Anya): no, no he was the one who was asleep. He didn't see anything I swear! No one did anything EXACTLY remember!? They stood confused, but they nodded once my eyes darted to the boy. Finally they caught on. (Dad): so why are you here, then? The boy looked down guiltily and dad put a hand on my shoulder. (?): It's about the party, sir. (Dad): let me guess they bullied you too? He shook his head. Then for a moment, his eyes focused themselves on me, as if my parents weren't even there. Clearing his throat, he spoke almost directly towards me. (?): All of the kids at the party were...uh....murdered last night sir. I let out a loud gasp and turned to mom and dad in shock. (?): Is it okay if I come in?
