Lunch

BLAKE'S POV

The first half of the day went by uneventful. I got an A on my chemistry test, no suprise there, and then there was lunch.

Of course we have the popular table with the jocks and the snobby, tight clothes wearing, cheerleaders.

Brittany sits next to me at the geek table which is right next to the populars. Even though Brittany isn't a geek, she always chooses to sit with me. She isn't that popular either, shes more of that one person who knows everyone and talks to everyone. We are like total polar opposites but we kind of even each other out.

Brittany and I met back in 2nd grade. I saved her from getting bullied (she was the new kid) and we just stuck together like paper and glue ever since.

When I first came in the cafeteria,  I went straight to the lunch line. I bought a pizza, a can of green apple soda, and a bag of Cheetos.

Then, I sat down next to Brittany and our group of friends.  Our group consist of Katy, Jules, Brittany,  Rylan, and me. Katy and Jules are twin sisters and they are both really shy. They have short blonde hair and dark chocolate brown eyes. The only way you can tell the difference is that Katy wears glasses. Rylan, to me, is beautiful.  She has long brown hair that stops at her waist, she has dark blue eyes and perfectly tan skin. I love all four them.

"Hey girls" I said sitting down.

A series of heys and wassups rang from my four friends.

"Where were you in homeroom?"  asked Katy.

"I was late like usual." I said starting to eat my Cheetos.

"Why won't you just stop being stubborn and let your parents buy you a car?" Brittany asked.

"I've said this a million times, I want to buy a car using my own money and anyways, I've almost saved up enough money to do exactly that." I said proudly 

Brittany muttered something that sounded like 'Whatever', but when I was about to comment my boyfriend showed up.

"Hey babe" Ryan said.

"Hi love muffin" I said kissing his cheek.

"Yeah, don't call me that." he said sounding embarrassed.

Ryan and I have been dating for 4 months. He's on the schools' baseball team and he fits in the category of the populars. But he's not cocky. He talks to everyone and very he's friendly. I was surprised he even wanted to go out with me. I love him.

"That's not were you were saying last night...." I said.

"Ooooo" my group of friends said.

"Blake!!!" he said sounding even more embarrassed.

"What?" I asked with an innocent smile.

Everyone burst out laughing and then the bell started ringing signaling us to head to our next class.

"I was just kidding babe. I love you. Are you coming to the beach with me today after school?" I asked still a little giggly.

"I know and no I can't I  have to finish up my project before work." he said kind of in a shady tone.

"Oh ok cool. bye" I said.

"Bye" he said before giving me a swift kiss on the cheek and walking away.

As I was walking down the hallway, the populars said they were going to a party tonight at some Kaden dudes' house.

'Wish I could go, but I have nothing to wear...' I thought.  Then I headed straight to gym.
