"And just where do you think you're going, pretty girl?" This guy was freaking me out. He towered over me by at least 5 inches. I'm about 5'6" so that made him at least 6 feet tall. He was muscular but skinny, which meant he probably only lifted weights. Tyler's voice interrupted my thoughts as he pulled me away, "Jake, you were told to stay away from her." "And so were you, brother." "Her mother pardoned it." "And her father?" "He's unreachable, I'm afraid." Samuel was leaning against the wall. "Oh, right. I'm sure he's unreachable...for you." "Who's my father?" I blurted out with out thinking, "And why is he unreachable for you?" Great. They were all staring at me. Tyler held onto my wrist tightly, "I'll tell you after you rest." I rolled my eyes, refusing to move. "I'll rest, after you tell me who my father is." "My brother is not going to make a deal with the Devil's daughter." "Cameron!" "Striking a deal with the Devil is not as deadly as striking a deal with her." "She didn't know." Tyler's face said everything. He was nervous, pissed, sad, relieved, and there was something else that I couldn't place. "What's going on in here, Cam?" Jess walked into the room, "Jake, get away from her! Do you know what your done?!" The house started shaking violently and I could feel myself being pulled away from Tyler, who was refusing to let go of my. I could feel the tension coming from everyone as the house slowly stopped shaking. Jess was the first one to speak, "Great. Now you guys pissed off the Devil." I looked up at Tyler who's face was pale and his voice was shaky, "We have company." "Go! We'll hold them off!" Tyler tried to pull me, but I couldn't mover. "Alex, come on!" He pulled on my again, harder this time, but I still couldn't move. He finally gave up and looked at Samuel, "They're too close. They know she's here and they're not gonna let her go." "I know, Tyler." The door suddenly flew off its hinges, splinters and glass flying everywhere. Tyler shielded me as best as he could. Four guys, all wearing black v-necks, black jeans, black sneakers, stepped into the house. All four of them had stormy blueish, grey eyes...like me. Tyler stepped in between them and me. Samuel, Cam, Jess, and Jake followed his lead. "I never thought you'd all be this stupid." Said one of the guys in black. "You're the one who's challenging--" "Challenging?" The guy laughed harshly, "You are hardly a challenge. Now, give us the girl and we...might let you live." "Why do I matter to you?" Everyone turned to look at me. "You don't know?" The guy in black, who had originally spoken, was smirking. "Oh this is going to be fun." He chuckled darkly. Suddenly his eyes went wide, staring at me. I looked down and saw a black scythe in my hand. Tyler reached for my hand, but jerked his hand back. His hand had been cold, colder than it should have been.
