(Hey, guys. I'm so sorry. I know I haven't updated in about a year. I got really busy and then stopped having ideas. I lost the story so I will be taking it a different way maybe. I will also be writing in present tense now.)
I sit up, groaning quietly. 'My back really hurts....' I sigh quietly and slide out of the bed. My feet touch the cool hardwood floors. I look around, slightly confused. 'Where am I?
This isn't the hotel.' There's a sharp knock at the door. The tall, Cherrywood doors are heavy when I go to open them. "Hello, Princess Alexis. Your father requested to see you when you awoke. Welcome home." Said a young male. I look at him confused and ask, "Who?"
"Your father. Do you not remember?"
"Thanks to you, no. I remember nothing."
He smirks, but says nothing else. He sarcastically bows, then walks away. I roll my eyes, irritated at him already.
I go to the wardrobe, looking for something I want to wear. I pick out a pair of ripped black skinny jeans, a black tank top, and combat boots. I brush my hair, and put it up in a high ponytail. I grab eyeliner from the counter and put it on, also drawing wings on the sides of my eyes as an inside joke with just myself. I straighten my fringe and make it frame my face. I put on a belt with silver studs. I put in my industrial and my other ear piercings. When I'm finished, I leave my room. I wonder around the grounds, not really caring that my father wants to see me. I see a grand stair case, and I follow it. It goes deep underneath the castle into a cellar. When I get down to the cellar, I realize it's a dungeon, not just a cellar. I suddenly don't want to be down here, but for some reason I can't make myself leave. I go to the end, and see someone who looks familiar.
"Lexi?" He says, getting up. It's obvious that it hurts him.
"Sit."
"No. Listen to me. You need to get out of here. It isn't safe for you. Especially during this stage. Run."
"Who the hell do you think you are to tell the princess what to do? I have the right mind to tell Lucifer and get you killed sooner," Says one of the guys who'd been chasing me.
"You'll do no such thing. I have the right mind to kill you for threatening him, asshole," I say, causing him to chuckle.
"You've always had a soft spot for him. Be careful, princess. He will be your downfall. Remember that."
With that, he was gone.
"Alexis, you need to be careful," calls out another voice. I turn to see who said it.
"Shut up, Samuel," Gabriel says. They're in the same cell, and it's obvious that they're tired of each other.
"All of you shut up. Now, I not only have to figure out how to get myself out of here, I have to get you all out of here too. Learn how to get along, or I'm leaving you here.
* 2 hours later*
"You took your time," says my father.
"I wanted to look around," I claim.
"Next time, look around AFTER you come to see me," he roars, beyond pissed. I roll my eyes and sarcastically bow.
"Your wish is my command, your highness," I say sarcastically.
"OUT!" He yells.
"Gladly."
I head to the dungeon again, but freeze when I see guards at Tyler's cell.
