Gabriel and I were dancing together. He was smiling and so was I, "What if we did?" "Gabriel, now isn't a good time." "Now's as good a time as any." "Gabriel, you know we can't. Anyone who is anything like us can find me. You know that, Gabriel." He tensed up, "Your father wants you." I sighed, "Then he can come to get me." Gabriel laughed but it was cut off. His eyes widened and his hands flew to his stomach as he bent over, spitting blood. A silver scythe was sticking out of his back and there was a harsh laughing, "No more distractions. Come now, your father is waiting."
I shot up, head butting Tyler. 'Since when were we in a car?' I groaned and felt his hand gently touch my forehead, "That had to hurt. What's wrong?" My eyes flew open and I stared at Gabriel, "You should be dead." He nodded at my accusing tone, brushing it off, "I take it that you remember the ball in 1932?" "How--" "You'll remember eventually, or I can show--" "No." Tyler's voice was harsh and protective, "I don't see you're even with her anymore, Tyler." "I'm with her because of your mess." "Ladies, ladies. You're both pretty. Can y'all shut up now?" Samuel turned around in his seat, laughing, "Gabriel, getting on someone's nerves, I see?" "Give me something to throw at him." I whispered in Tyler's ear. He chuckled and whispered, "I don't have anything...but I do know how to surprise them." "How?" I looked at him confused. He winked, "Remember your..extra...birthday present from me?" "Oh yeah. Are you sure--" "You're sitting in my lap, in a car. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. Anyway, it'll shut 'em up." We both giggled quietly. "What are you two...what the fuck?!" Gabriel and Samuel were both staring at us, now quiet." That was the first time anyone had ever seen Tyler and me kiss. I ran my hands through his short, brown hair and he smiled. We didn't break the kiss until Cam cleared his throat. Tyler looked up, smiling, "What Cam?" "Careful." I looked at Tyler confused, "You'll see why soon." His bright blue eyes stared into mine. I smiled and twisted his hair gently in my hands pulling his head down for another kiss. This time we didn't break it, until we were both gasping for air and smiling. Samuel was pissed and Gabriel was shocked, and...hurt?
