Wednesday night

Raven's P.O.V.

It was getting dark, so my aunt (Regina) asks if I need anything. I tell her I would like some water. She says she will be right back with a glass. I tell her thank you as she walks out the door.

Suddenly I started to have a huge migraine that I couldn't figure out what was causing it. My vision was starting to get a little blurry. My 'mom' walks back into the room. "Are you all right Raven? You look a little pale." She hands me the glass of water, "Maybe this will help you feel better Sweetheart"

Okay. I get why that she is doing this because she thinks she's my mom and not my aunt, but she doesn't need to act like I'm a little five year old girl.

My vision gets blurrier and blurrier. Then the glass fell out of my hand and I blacked out.

When I woke up, or at least thought I woke up, I looked around and I wasn't in the hospital anymore. I felt like I was an another universe.nA multiverse perhaps. Wherever I was it totally destroyed the laws of physics.

Snow was coming up from the ground into the sky. There were very, tiny elephants and huge, no, gigantic wasps.

"You finally arrived Raven," a menacing said from the back of my head. I slowly looked over my shoulder, and that's when I knew. It was my real mother, Zelena.

I mentally shivered. Back in my time, everyone (more or less) was good. Or at least not intentionally evil. Seeing my mother 'wicked' was certainly strange and definantly not comforting.

"What? No kiss for your mommy?" Zelena said with a cold smile. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked with confidence. "I'm here to bestow you your destiny of course, but first - " she yelled into the sky in some kind of gibberish.

Boom! It looked like we were in some kind of universe. I had a bad feeling about this. My mother  made two chairs appear and she used magic to force me to sit down and watch the action. "Have they told you about the gems yet?" she asked.

"What gems?" I responded. "Well, I'm not surprised that they didn't say anything about them," Zelena said. She yelled more gibberish and, as soon as she did, some stones appeared. I looked closer and realized that they weren't stones. They were gems. She turned in my direction. "These are The Enchanted Gems as some might call them," she said, gesturing to the colored stones.

"Well I still don't understand. What does this have to do with me?" I said trying to still sound confident."Oh, my daughter, these gems belong to you and your friends."she said, smiling at me like a maniac, but I could still see some of my mother in her.

"Don't call me your daughter. You left me to die. I was lucky that your sister, Regina, saved me before that blast destroyed me!" I yelled, keeping up the act. "I'm sorry for my actions. I may have lied back then but I'm not lying now. Those are you and your friends gems. Please give me another chance," she begged. 'She fell for it,' I thought, surprised, 'Maybe she's changed already....'

"Let's drop this subject, so...which one is mine?" I asked."The one that calls to you"she responded. I looked around, hoping to find it soon so I could be conscious again. I skimmed around a little more. That's when I knew it was a purple gem encrusted with an eye in the middle.

It suddenly dawned on me, as if it was burned right into my skull. It all made sense now. Fear fell over me. "Oh no."

"What's wrong honey?" My mother said with another one of her cold smiles. "The Eye Of The Beholder. That's my necklace! Which means... Mike... He has it...This explains why Mike is so corrupted!" I said, surprised of how I knew the name of the gem.

"Oh that's too bad." My mother said with a menacing laugh right after. "What do you mean it's too bad Mother?" I asked with a concerned look on my face. "Don't you know sweetheart? That necklace is killing him piece by piece. It's only a matter of time before he is completely rotted from the inside and out," she responded with a excited face, like this was the highlight of her day.

I turn, feeling sick from the news I just heard. I didn't know what to do or what to think. My stomach is tightening in knots as I heard this monster speak such awful things with my mother's voice. "No! I'm not listening to you! There has to be another way! There's always another way..." I said trying to find the confidence inside of me.

"Well...anyway in truth Dear all I know really about the Gems is that they were crafted by an unknown energy, and they corrupt unchosen ones, like your little friend Mike, also they-" The world around us started to crumble and shake. "-Oh no...I'm loosing connection of you dear. I have to close the connection now before it kills both of us, and I'm sorry about everything I've done. I should have raised you like a real mom."

Suddenly there was a flash of light.

I woke up,everyone was beside my cot looking concerned."Oh great! Your awake!" Regina said tears coming out of her eyes.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked. "Just a little over 8 hours," Jack responded.
"Geez, that dream only felt like 5 minutes," I mumbled.

"What did you dream about Raven?" Regina asked.
I told them all about my dream. Even the part how I thought Mike was corrupted.

"This is not good," Regina said, looking like she just experienced dark magic.

"We don't even have any information to help us."Charming responded.
"To the Library!" Mary said, pointing into the air like she was making a declaration to the world. Everyone turned in her direction.
"Mary's right," Alex responded, "There might be information there that can help us."
"Alright we'll go look at the library" Charming said starting to make a U-turn to the door.

"No,"I responded.
"Wait, what did you say?"Charming said. "Your not leaving without me," I said, crossing my arms with a spark of confidence.
"But you need to relax, "Regina said.
"Well if I'm not there you are all at a higher risk of  being in danger."I said. Everyone started filing out of the room and into the street.

"Are you alright Raven?" Mary asked, stopping at the door. "Yes I'm ready," I said. "That's not what I asked," she said. I rolled my eyes. "Let's just go get this darkness out of Mike and finally have some peace," I said, walking out the door.
