"Alright babe, just...Just stay with me it'll be okay." Murphy's soft voice remain steady with a false sense of confidence, pretending his reassurance that it would in fact be okay was more for her than him. But Emori knew better. She knew John like the back of her hand, her scarred and dirty hand, and she loved him all the same. She loved his flaws and his fears, and she was addicted to the way he wasn't afraid of her. He didn't fear her as a person nor as a lover, John Murphy was not a man to trust people but he trusted her. She knew how special that was, she felt honored. She loved him so much she didn't say a word when he kept telling her it would be okay and to not be afraid, even though she wasn't scared. She never said a word when he would squeeze her hand ever so often while walking through the halls of Polis, she'd only smile to herself and gently squeeze back. She didn't say a word when they neared the Commanders Quarters and he let out a shaky breath. His rough hand placed itself on the wood of the door; he hesitated and looked at her.

"I love you." She mouthed silently, making him smile ever so slightly.

"I love you too." He whispered, and pushed open the doors. Inside standing in front of the throne was Clarke; around her with their backs turned to Murphy were Bellamy, Octavia, and Jasper. When the doors swung open with a creek, everyone turned to look.

"Emori?" Clarke spoke, remembering the girl from before.

"Yeah that's me." Emori spoke with such cold confidence it secretly put Murphy to shame. She waved slightly, but noticed the concerned look on Clarkes face.

"Joh- uh, Murphy here helped me out, got that damn chip out of me. I'm good now, I'm safe."

"Murphy helped you?" Bellamy scoffed, rolling his eyes. His arms were folded across his chest like always, Emori glared at him.

"Yes, he saved me. He's the only reason I'm here." She bit back, trying to hide the distain in her voice. Murphy had told her all about Bellamy, she hated him as much as Murphy pretended to.

"You must be important." Octavia noted half sarcasm half surprise.

"She is," Murphy spoke up, stepping beside Emori and snaking his arm around her waist. He wouldn't let her fight his battle.

"She's important to me."

The whole room stared in silence, shock on their faces.

"You two are...?" Clarke's voice trailed off while her eyes continued to scan over the two of them.

"Together?" Emori piped up, smirking. She looked up at Murphy and he smiled.

"Yes." He stated firmly, and leaned down to kiss her. The room then erupted in noise.

"Oh gross!"

"Oh my G O D"

"Oh what the fuck!"

The both pulled away, laughing. When they looked back to the group they were all cringing, all except Clarke who was smiling.

"I'm happy for you, Murphy." She said calmly, walking up to the two of them. "I think this will be good for you."

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Jasper groaned from behind them, making everyone laugh. Not everyone might understand what Murphy and Emori have, but they damn well knew she was his. And no one dared fuck with either of them.
