jungkook's pov:

I only recently learned to drive. Sitting behind the wheel right now, i focus all of my attention on the deserted road -that was lit only by a few street lamps, at this time of night- as Jin or Suga hyung are not here to help me at the moment. Instead, there is Mia sitting next to me, in the passenger seat.

The most special person in my life, the girl I'm completely and utterly in love with and who is mine, my girlfriend, Mia. And today had been her birthday.

I finally let out the breath I didn't realize I had been holding in, as I park in front of Mia's driveway.

I was being extra cautious while driving, in fear of harming Mia. so, focused as I was, this whole time, I did not even look at her. And now that I do turn my gaze toward her, I find her sound asleep, leaning against the window and hugging her backpack to her chest.

I smile as I brush away the hair falling in her eyes. She moans and shifts into a more comfortable position, hugging her bag tighter.

She has the habit of curling up into a ball, like a cat, and hugging something when she sleeps. This is why I know she will love my present.

I lean over and kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear, "wake up, sweetheart.' As I pull back, I see a beautiful smile slowly spread across her face.

Mia's pov:

Jungkook looks so cute, biting his lip as he focuses on the road. I know he's doing this to keep me safe. Taehyung-shi had told me once that he usually likes to drive fast, in contrast to how he is driving right now.

I close my eyes and my thoughts take me back to the surprise party the members threw for me.

The party went great. I had a lot of fun. We all cut my favourite chocolate cake in bts' practice room. The members gift was a really cool black jacket that said on the back, BTS MIA in large white letters. "Because you're part of our little family," they said with wide grins, and a sincere gleam in their eyes. Ever since then, I have been wearing the jacket, never taking it off for even a second. Throughout the party, jungkook stayed by my side. The members played games for my entertainment, most of which, of course, jungkook won. Before it was time to leave, all the members talked a little about me, "Since its my special day," they said. They all told me how fond they were of me, and they loved the food I cooked for them with jin hyung and how I took care of them like a little sister in the dorm. I couldn't help but beam at their warm expressions. Lastly, they said that jungkook really loved me and they want me to take care of him. That we were perfect together. I instantly turned red and stared at my shoes, but then I felt jungkook take my hand, intertwining our fingers. I looked up to find him smiling confidently at me. I smiled back and everyone started to catcall and cheer, thus making me even more embarrassed. I hugged everyone to say thank you and goodbye before jungkook offered to drop me home. It was the best birthday party ever, I think as I doze off..

I am only half asleep when I feel a hand brush against my cheek. I don't want to wake up just yet, so I make myself comfortable, hoping that the devilish person trying to wake me would get the message.

He leans in closer and the familiar scent of jungkook's cologne surrounds me. He gently presses his lips against my cheek and softly whispers in my ear, "wake up, sweetheart."

I try to stay still and keep a neutral expression but I can't resist his voice and the closeness. I feel a smile appear on my face without my consent but then I smile wide and open my eyes to a slightly smirking jungkook.
