Aphmau's P.O.V
I walked into the school and went to my first class, werewolf class. I sat next to my new friend, Aaron, when another kid with werewolf ears and a tail came up to us. "It looks like you finally found someone who will put up with you, Aaron." the boy said, looking me up and down. "Leave me alone, Balto." Aaron snapped. "Good luck, darling. If you ever need help, come to me." Balto said, winking and walking away. Aaron was fuming. "Aaron, who was that?" I asked. "That was Balto. He's been picking on me ever since I got to Phoenix Drop High. I hope you don't suffer because of him hating me." Aaron whispered. "Why does he pick on you?" I questioned. "I refused to join his group of 'cool' kids, and he's been picking on me about being lonely for a long time." Aaron explained. "Well, you're not lonely anymore!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, I guess I'm not. But, Balto might consider you alone, because you hang out with me." Aaron said. "No. Stop it. You are too hard on yourself. I am happy to be your friend and I will help you get through this." I declared, as the teacher came in.
Aaron's P.O.V
I don't want Balto to pick on Aphmau. If he does... I'll protect her. How? I don't know.
~Lunch~
I sat alone in the corner of the lunch room, as always. I didn't really expect Aphmau to come sit with me, she probably has other friends. "Hey, Aaron!" I heard a female voice say, I looked up and saw Aphmau. "Hi, Aphmau." I said. "Not to be rude but, don't you have other friends to sit with?" I asked, hoping she wasn't offended. "Yeah, I have a few other friends." Aphmau said, sitting down. "Then why don't you go sit with them?" I asked. "I'd rather sit with you. Some of my friends are a little..." she explained, mumbling the last part. I just nodded and continued eating.

~Dismissal~
"Can I walk you home?" Laurence asked me. "U-um sure, but we will also be walking with-" I said, as Aaron walked up to us. "Hey, Aphmau, Laurence." Aaron greeted. "AARON?!?" Laurence exclaimed, surprised. I just slowly stepped to the side not wanting to get into any type of conflict. "Why are you hanging around Aphmau?!? She doesn't need trouble like you around!" Laurence shouted. Aaron looked hurt, "It's her choice. I'm happy to have her company, and I'm not forcing her in any way to hang out with me." Aaron said, glaring angrily at Laurence. "Aphmau, come on. You don't need to hang out with him. Don't pity him. He deserves it." Laurence said, pulling me with him. "No." I stated, and planted my feet on the ground. "I'm not his friend out of pity, I'm hanging out with him because I want to." I explained, looking at Aaron, making sure he knew it was the truth. "I'm walking home, BY MYSELF. Sorry guys." I said and started walking home, alone.
